2007 Mopar Nationals -Columbus OH AUG 9,10,11,12

All,how about we all do a GTG there? Most of the city is sold out for hotel rooms already.I have a block of 5 right now in Heath ,the center of the MoCruise and the burnouts on Rt 79. and am trying to secure more daily.I can prolly get some more.

We can rent a 40x 180 foot tent and get 20 or so trucks under there with room left for grills and chairs.We did it the last two years.How about we do it with us?Cost of the tent is $2400.00 divided 20 ways it would be about $120.00 for all four days.The entry fee of $65.00 to the Nats is extra.

We need to start planning this if it will be a go.

I got some pricing for the tents this year.I think we should do this as a group.There are over 6000 cars there,drag racing ,vendors etc.We got a 40x180 tent last year and and had 22 SRT-10`s there from all over the country.

Surely we could get 8-10 trucks and get a 40x 40 or 40x60 and split the cost.We grilled out there and had room to set up chairs and tables and hang out.We could be at the corner by the Vipers which is close to the bathrooms(important,LOL) and the drag strip entrance.

Hey Dave!

I got nominated by the guys 'over there' to organize the Nats stuff. I think it would be in the best interest of ALL the truck owners if we put aside the differences for 3 days and did this as one huge group. Instead of a bunch of different tents, we could save EVERYONE some bucks and maybe end up with more tent space.

So far, I'm looking at more than 40 trucks from 'over there'. A few will probably drop out, but I'm sure we'll have some late-comers and day-of additions.

I figured with fewer chiefs and more indians, it's easier for everyone to enjoy the event (and nights of smoke-filled burnouts! LOL), and keep a little change in their pocket.

If you hate the idea, just tell me to F.O. You won't be the first, and certainly won't be the last. :)

I'm sure Mopar Nats will kickass again this year. I'll see ya there!

That sounds good to me Kevan.I have no problem with any of the people attending the Nats.It is usually someone from that forum posting smart ass remarks that starts something up.

I am all open to going all for one on the tent thing.It was a blast last year and would be a good time this year.

I have about 15 trucks interested as of now.I think it would be a good thing and for you to handle the organization of it as well.

Dave- that works for me too. I'm sure with the trucks from here, the trucks from 'over there' and the addition of the RumbleBee guys, we'll have an insane showing this year.

Just talked to Kevan(on this forum as well as ***** forum)He wants us to join with them and be with the SRT-10`s under one tent(s).To date he has about 45 trucks interested in coming.This will be better for all in many ways.

There will be just one entity getting the tent or tents(depending on demand)

One person will coordinate the tent rental(Kevan) who is just two miles from the track.

Cost will be substantially less combining all the efforts.We are going to ask for a set fee for all of our group and special access through another gate.This will eliminate going through the crowd and all the spectators and midway people.

We will keep this list going and when it comes time to pay for the rental (mid JUL or so) we can Paypal the fees .

I was told the tent pricing will be finalized within a week.Be prepared to send payment by Paypal ASAP when the details are posted.I am guesstimating around $120.00 for the tent rental.

I liked your idea of "The Hive" tent for the RumbleBee guys. I think that will work nicely. Keep me updated on what those guys have coming to the event.
