Anybody with around a srt 10 know the overall diamter of the brakes and calipers? I'm doing some custom stuff and might use the srt 10 setup but not sure if they will fit under my 18" wheels.

JTS Venom Performance 01-08-2010, 05:03 PM biggest tire and rim you can use on the front of an srt ram is 19 inch, an 18 inch rim will "not' fit on the front, the rear yes, but not on the front. pavetim 01-08-2010, 05:05 PM Thanks I meant total diamter I would need for rotors and calipers. I know rotors are 15 up front, but how much more is added for the calipers? But like you said, 18's won't fit up front. So kinda guess that answers my question. So kinda guess that answers my question. yessir, actually bogart in california is doing a run of special one off 18's for racing to fit on the front, and one more note for you , since you are doing custom set up even with the bogart custom 18's they will only fit the 04 single piston model. the 04 models came out with single piston calipers up front, the 05/06 had a dual piston caliper and was a larger caliper. now if not mistaken, the 04 calipers will fit on the 05/06 spindle. but yessir, if a dont want to do anuy modifications, 20's is about as small as you can go. even on the rear, you have to shave the calipers down, and get jsut the right rim, an eagle alloy, to get a 17 rim to fit on the rear to run drag radials hope this info saves you some aggrivations:fing02: pavetim 01-08-2010, 06:09 PM The reason I want to go with this is for the 4 piston brembos so i'm not going to single piston lol. I guess i'll stick with the 2010 camaro ss setup. they are 14" rotors and use the 4 piston brembos. Shame though i'd love to use the srt 10 huge rotors. JTS Venom Performance 01-08-2010, 07:13 PM atually also , alot of folks think the oem calipers are brembos, but they arent on the rams, they are actaully trw calipers, and most def if you went with the dual piston, you never would get an 18 on there, but you also may check the lx srt models, (chrger so on) they came with a similar set up , but smaller rotors pavetim 01-09-2010, 09:32 PM So the srt 10 don't have brembos? Thought they did. Well you would know better than me. da1chief 01-09-2010, 10:28 PM Tony is absolutely correct they are TRW... The Division/Sub Company that made them for TRW was kelsey hayes Co. Brake Division (http://kelseyhayesbrakes.com/). | |
