Here are some pics of my truck from this weekend.Shown are the emblem deletes, various Viper badging additions,hard tonneau cover , locking tailgate handle ,billet plate frame,tint,billet door cap. I didn`t get a chance to get any motor pics to reflect the billet dress up......Next time.

i love black. it looks really good, especially the Snake on the tailgate.

Dude we are both back in BLACK! Its so hard waiting for this truck to come in. Yours really looks awesome! That black finish is so reflective on your tailgate, its a fricken mirror! I love the stealth look. Getting the tint done will be my first mod. I have ordered the magaflow catback, but I think I will wait till its breaks in before I ad it on.

So whats the viper badges gonna cost me? They look way better than the RAM badge on the sides. Sorry dude I might have to copy yours. ;) I was cleaning out the garage today to make her new home cozy this weekend. No way I am letting her roast out in the Maui sun everyday.

Great job on yours, totally awesome looking. Black just stands out soooo much.

I think tint really sets it off.

On the shine ,gotta like Zaino.It is the best out there!

The Magnaflow cat back is cool,however I am going to go with a Spintech Pro Street.

The Viper hood ornaments are off an SRT-10 and list for $96.00 each.I got them for $57.00.Dealer cost is $48.00 for reference.The Viper Powered like is on the hood is $57.00 list.I gave $37.00 for it.

Ouch those are some pricey badges!!! What should I expect though, its a Viper badge not a neon badge! :eek: ^Thanks for giving me the list and what you actually paid. I had no idea they were so costly. I think its a little funny that you can actually order these. So does this mean guys with a RC 1500 with the hemi or 4.7 can order srt/10 badging and fake it!!! At least ours has the viper motor, so we aint faking!!!! FAke fake fake!!! Cant wait till somebody asks "that thing got a hemi"!!! "Not even close dude" :D LOL

BTW Your Impala is quite stunning as well. Thanks for the tip on Zaino, never heard of it. Can you get it at everyday stores or mail order only?

Don't worry. After about the first thirty people who ask you if it has a hemi you'll be pretty tired of it. It's easier to just say yes and drive on. Either that or explain what kind of motor is in it... but then you'll have to show them too. Oh well, there's worse things in life, right?

I think I told the story of these two guys in a Chevy p/u calling out to me "That thing gotta Hemi in it?" Me thinking they were quoting the commercial on TV replied ," Yur about to find out" They looked at me like I had three eyes and got a little pissed I think...Oh well. :rolleyes:

I read your hemi story earlier, I laughed cause I could only imagine how many times that is gonna happen to me. The people that are in the know about this truck are floored when I tell them I got one coming! They cant belive it. I will check out that Zaino stuff. Cant cheap out now!

Read the instructions, sounds like a whole lotta work. Good I guess for a vehicle thats gonna sit on a lot for people to gawk at, I'd rather be driving mine.

just wandering how you got the viper badge to lay flat on the tailgate of your truck. i too have one and it has a slight contour to it. whats your input on the matter?

A little bit of 3M tape to fill the curve fits the bill nicely. :D

Ok Roktman, I should be getting my badging this week in the mail.
I have a question when applying the viper badge to the truck.
Did you do (or anyone else) do any special prep to the surface before putting on any additional badges?
when I got my SRT-10 I took the DODGE lettering off of the tail gate (and left the SRT badging on the opposite side as is).
After I took the Dodge off, I waxed the tail gate for protection. (3M general purpose adhesive remover says that it does take off wax but does not blemish the paint finish).
I think I may be making a mountain out of a mole hill, but I would hate to have the viper badge fall off. Just trying to avoid any probs.
I guess what I will do is clean the surface, place the badge where I want it and just keep an eye on it. If I notice that the adhesive is giving-way, then that should be my answer. AND if i drive somwhere and get out of the truck and happen to look at the tail gate where the badge used to be, I can kiss $65.00 away and next time strip the wax off and then put the badge on.

That is basically what I did. Just make sure it is nice an clean. I also to an alcohol prep pad and wiped it down pretty good just to make sure. Mine hasn't budged.

Yea Dallas ,What Jeff said.I wiped off the surface with alcohol ,applied the badges (both doors ,tailgate and the Viper Powered under the SRT-10 on the tail too.) No issues since summer .Good luck and post up them pics!

After an 11 hour work day (no I dont spend the whole day at the beach cause I live on Maui) I have a nice COLD Corona in hand.....ummmmmm mmm good!! :cool:

Got my badges today...got the masking tape out, tape measure and started the application!
Dang my truck loooks like yours...only RRRRRred! the wife came out and said it looks like it came that way from the dealer! It was getting a bit dark so i will try and take pics tomorrow and post them.
That Viper head badge...it is a heavy little item! So now my tail gate has gained some more value...about $117.11 more value!
I put the viper head badge about 5.5" up from the bottm of the gate and about 6.5" over...and the Viper Powered badging is about 2.00" below the existing SRT-10 lettering.

Someone posted their new black srt on here somewhere and they took all the badging off of the doors...I like that look too.
If ya happen to remember or know where the post is, please lemme know...

1. either spend another $130.00 for two Viper head badges for each door
2. or go Totally Smooth (taking off the RAM and SRT-10 lettering off of the doors).
3. Or take all the badging off of the doors and apply the Viper Head only to each door.

I like the fact than when pulling up next to someone they can glance over and see that the truck is not just another ram. with just the SRT-10 on the door, the person has to 'think' ...What is that? Or Make the person curious if you know what i mean.
Anyway, my other two dodge trucks that i had, I had taken all the badging off...doesn't get in the way of wash and waxing...and smooth looks good.
Ok, if anyone remembers that post just lemme know..I want to bring that Black Beauty up on screen and look at it again...
Maybe he can even take a Closer pic of the truck too...

Awlright! I like that Corona too...with a twist of lime and please pass some sodium ...I switch off, MGD-Corona...goes down smooth especially after a day waxing and polishing eh? :D
Just don't drive after that alchie-stuff.

Took a test drive tonite ...went over railroad tracks, bumpy roads and the badges are still on..Kewl! Went on this one road ...did a short stint got up to 80mph and backed off...little bit of wheel hop on these roads. these roads are not that great here. I can see easily loosing control if not paying attention.
I think i am going to have to go down to my old stomping grounds,,,,Southern Calif/Orng Cnty and drive some of those smoother roads/freeways....or go to the track here and drive that big left hand turn.
Patrick...I bet depending on which way you are travelling on the island, it is either the Big Left hand turn or the Big Right hand turn eh....just teasing...

I just recieved my viper badges.. I bought 3 brand new ones off ebay for 90.00. Haven't put them on yet but I have removed the ram from both doors. One will go on each side and the other will go roughly 3 to 4 inches below the tailgate handle..

went to the dealer today for a drive...it was not raining it was very nice but a coool biting breeze was happening.
my sales guy and several others huddled around my srt-10 and really like the badges that i added to the tail gate. I told them that i got the idea from a fellow Srt-10 forum attendee by the handle "Roktman". They sure do like that look. I have pics! So i will put them up as soon as I rifle thru the good and bad ones. I will put the pics in the Visual Modification section- Official Flame Red Pics.
