Coils are supposed to help A TAD with mpg, and allows you to run a slightly larger gap. I think those running a FI truck would see the biggest advantage with a stronger spark. If you go with coils, I'd consider better wires too. Most break 1-2 getting them off.

msd wires are known to eventually crack under the heat, or at least that is my experience with them

I know little to nothing about running nitrous in these trucks, but am slowly becoming educated on running nitrous in an SRT8 hemi engine. Most recommend running a NONPROTRUDING plug for the Hemi engines, such as those made by Brisk.

Don't know if that helps at all or not, but that's about all I know on this topic!
