New member owner of 2005 silver quad cab #728

Hello guys I had been lurking your website for about 5 months for information and browsing your for sale forums. Well I finally pulled the trigger and am the proud owner of a 05 quad cab #726 I bought it with only 19k miles on her....just wondering it came with a k&n cold air kit and one of the hoses was not hooked up . Would that make the onboard computer read better gas milage? It was reading 13mpg now that everything is hooked up proper it reads 10mpg

Average for a QC is mid 11's. having 10 mpg means your just having more fun

Fill the tank, write down the mileage, drive it to empty, fill the tank, do the math and get the real mileage. The overhead is never 100% right it is more of a snapshot of what is going on at the moment. A lot depends on your habits and conditions. On my 06 RC I average 9-10 but I live under 5 miles from work with 12 traffic lights and 3 stop signs but when I hit the freeway without traffic and do 70 it rolls along doing 17-18.

By the way Welcome To The Forum!
