slave cylinder failer

Thanks for info on magnaflow cat back sounds great.
But..Truck has 7800 miles on it. Have issue of clutch slave cylinder going bad. Yes checked fluid.full and no leaks. Trans shop 11.5 hours at an estimate of $1500 to R & R trans and replace slave cylinder. Is this a weak part of the transmission? If so is there a better until to put in it? With 7800 miles i am so surprised it has failed. Shouldn't have to replace anything else with this mileage(i hope)..

JMB has a Viper Hydraulics upgrade and Tony has a kit also. it is not uncommon for the slave to let go.
