i think 13.8 is very conservative, i believe we will be pleasantly suprised when the mag. test #'s come out!
Haven't seen any L running low 13s. Don't let them kid you. My friend that works here has the latest version. More like low 14 or high 13s depending on octane and driver.SRT-4 & NeonACR said:Originally posted on SRT-4 Forums
Ok I'm lost... Someone please fill me in here. I just got done reading my new Motor Trend, and they mention how the current SVT Lightning can't hang w/ the new SRT 10. Yet so many ppl keep talking about Lightnings running low 13's bone stock when we say our SRT 4s can run with the lightning? The SRT 10 runs 13.8's so what's up? I'm guessing that these low 13's SVT's aren't as "stock" as they say they are... Agian I'm not being a **** here... just really confused
Also as a side note, ppl wrote in bitching that they didn't include the SVT in their sport truck comparo in a previous issue. Motor Trend said "As we stated [before], we thought clearly enough, the Lightning is a lame duck, destined for early retirement until it reappears later on the new 2004 f-150 foundation. For this test, it wasn't relevant. Certainly, we'll revisit this shootout when we can get a new lightning." The shootout was the '03 SRT-10 vs the SS Silverado...
Being the owner of a Lightning, I can tell you it would take mods to get to the low 13's. It's funny how the Lightning forums love to boast that their trucks are faster than the times Ford provides, yet some can't accept the fact that the SRT-10 is in the same situation. Hoping that the times the Dodge got in Sport Truck & the latest issu of M/T are more reflective on the trucks potential than some of the times mags such as Truckin & Truck Trends got.SRT-4 & NeonACR said:Originally posted on SRT-4 Forums

I had a white '00 L that went 13.62 completely stock, which I traded for my '02 L that went 13.44 with a K/N and nothing else with 20" wheels. With a 4lb. lower and a chip it went a [email protected] I would agree it takes mods. to get low-13's, but those mods will produce solid 12's (for about $400). Just sharing my observations. I'm also glad to see Dodge building this truck, rivalry is a good thing.Being the owner of a Lightning, I can tell you it would take mods to get to the low 13's.
I ran 1.956 60ft, 13.157 @ 104.29 (04, SBlue) stock (01-10-04) and I'm not kiddinghemidakota said:Haven't seen any L running low 13s. Don't let them kid you. My friend that works here has the latest version. More like low 14 or high 13s depending on octane and driver.
You got a slip? These 'stock' numbers just keep getting lower and lower...Band said:I ran 1.956 60ft, 13.157 @ 104.29 (04, SBlue) stock (01-10-04) and I'm not kidding![]()
No mods at all, not broken in. Only had it 3 weeks at the time...
edit: It's a lightning...
Two guys in a row join and post that their Ls ran 13.3 bone stock but that both know it is rare.Suthrn said:Hey before you guys bash me, I am so happy that someone has finally put out another performance truck to make this market interesting. Chevy screwed up big time. That being said, I am the proud owner of a 2001 L that did a 13.3 stock and with one mod did a 12.8. I know this isn't the norm but they are out there. Again, glad to see another sweet truck out there. Hope to see some soon on the road. We should not only make this a rivalry but we should get our communities together sometime to share some track time. You guys take care and enjoy the trucks.

It's the quickest lightning to get posted. I'm sure there are some out there that are faster...DaPurpleRT said:MAKE THAT THREE IN A ROW EXCEPT THIS ONE IS CLAIMING A TIME THAT WOULD MAKE HIM THE QUICKEST STOCK L EVER!
