Read this in a associated press article. It was basically a review of the truck. It was a fair review but I did notice some of the basic facts of the truck were off, no big deal but still wrong. She didnt like how the wing got in the way of loading stuff into the bed!!!!!!!! What a kook, its a hotrod dude, meant to go fast. Loading is second to hotrodding!!!! Interesting that a chick wrote the article....hmmmm... She mentions how men are the predominate buyer of this truck, income of 100k+ average age 47 and married. Half of those stats are not me.

So do we have 1700 or so srt10's left on dealers lots as of early June??? Seems like that number is high or her sales stats are wrong if 3k was the number of trucks produced. Production for this truck stopped in late June, didnt it?

Let me see...

Not doin' 100K (It'd be nice though)
Not 47 (36 for now. I suppose someday I *may* be 47? Somedays I feel like I'm already there)
Not Married (No real plans for this either, but I hate to say 'never' ;) )

Hell, I am Male. 25% - Hope that doesn't mean I shoulda kept the Lightning - because I like this truck better. :p :D

*One of my local Dealers has a Silver one. Been sitting on the lot for a few weeks now. Maybe he's asking over sticker for it, I don't know? Sucks though. I like having the only one in the area.

Hit it on the head except somewhat older. Des Moines has 3 silver SRT's. Bought mine for invoice. They will deal on these. Originally wanted $5ooo over sticker. They even were selling vipers for about 5-6000 below sticker. They have 5 on hand right now. It might help that I bought 8 trucks in the last 2 1/2 years from them though. Not sure if they would do that for anyone else. :)

congratulations to all!!!

Considering Maui/SRT-10s info on production, if accurate, this is great news for all current 04 SRT-10 owners. Of the 1363 or so quoted in the article, some have left the country. Others will be wrecked, disappear, or otherwise be bastardized to the extent that they really arent SRT-10s anymore. No matter who the next president is, gas is going to 5.00$ gal within the next year. Just as the performance era ended in the 60's dont be fooled that this one will not also. Expect 2006 to be the last production year for this vehicle (I know some of you can still remember gas lines and shortages) Bottom line...there will always be people other there hooked on performance, and willing to pay for it. Save ALL your stock parts. Anyone want to guess what a 1967 427 tri-power matching #'s vette is worth today? I really believe the same senario is going to play out re the SRT-10. And how can investments get any more fun than this????

 Just curious. I'm thinking $5.00 a gal for gas? I think at $3.00 a gal Iraq becomes the 51st state! Maybe $2.50 at the most. Anyway, don't all of us get a cost of living increase pay raise? RIGHT!

At 5.00 dollars a gallon trust and believe,we are bombing who ever we have to, to end that nonsense or Americans will flip.

I thought i was in the running for youngest as well but, oh well- I'm 26 too.
Not legally married but play like it most of the time, maybe late next year or spring 06

Made real close to a 100 g's last year, but unless i get real busy soon i will probably not get there this year-

Well, I might be the furthest from the statistics so far...male, 24, not quite 100K, and single

The youngest srt10 owner as of yet!!! By the way I have your name VPRPWR as my license plate!!! Thanks for the idea :)

So how many of us would say the clutch pedal is tough/stiff to handle? The article's author felt that

"a driver cant have weak left leg muscles here."

I personally felt it was kinda too easy when I first sat in one. I thought it would be stiffer.

I think the numbers will be down, as this seems to be typical for Vipers also. The goals are set , but with a couple of delays due to supplier parts, it looks like there will be fewer SRT-10 Rams than initially thought. Most of us that sell alot of Vipers ( and now alot of Viper Rams ) are used to numbers being on the low side. With the Quad Cab coming this Fall, it should keep both models numbers in a good area , which means ----- good resale for all you!!

You are the few, the proud, the Beastmasters!!!!
