I am not an expert on brakes. However i don't think that 4 or 2 would make any difference in this! ;)

No Grab.

As we all know on 04 ram srt 10 brakes tend to grab a bit when cold...the 05 brakes are 4 piston...Does the stop the brakes from grabing when cold? If not what advantage are 4 over two?
I have never had a brake grab condition on mine...................Jack

I think the grab is more a cold weather thing. ;)

the advantage of four pistons over two is the brakes have a more equal pressure application because the caliper is appling pressure in four places instead of two. hence six are better than four and eight are better than six. though i think anything short of race applications it is all over kill.

something that really bothers me about my truck is that the breakes tend to make a lot of noise. I have had them checked 3 times by the dealer, and they say nothing is wrong. just that bloody noise when i stop.

I have alot of brake noise coming from the front left. there is also alot of what appears to be brake fluid all over the inside of the rim. I try to keep them clean, but we all know the inside is the hardest to get to. I have scrubbed and scrubbed the inside of these things, and these spots do not want to come off. Any ideas? I'll be taking it in soon for the 9k oil change, I'll ask them about it.

Agreed. Unless you plan on autocrossing or road racing, you'll never know the difference.
