4.56 rearend on EBAY

I noticed that the diff cover was black, and it looks like it was black when it was installed, no paint on the bolts. One of you guys with a '05 RC or QC look under your truck and let us know if your differential cover is black or bare aluminum like the '04.

My '05 has bare aluminum. Sounded like a scam.

Looking at it on ebay, it appears to have had a hard life. The seller seems honest but boy there is a lot of rust on it. Maybe vehicle fire or in water? Not for me!

Dang that is just fugly. What has he been storing it in a saltwater tank? You can see corrosion on the calipers even.

I was thinking about getting it just for swapping gearsets....not this one!

I thought all the 04's were supposed to have 4.11 gears. ML
