Run him from a 15 MPH roll. He will eat you alive out of the gate from a stop.
Last June I sold a 98 Vette 5.7 Auto that I bought new. They leave hard from a dead stop, for a stock car. From a stop he will put 2-3 car lengths on you out of the gate that you will never make up. From a roll it will be interesting to about 100-110 and then he will start to move away..............Jack
I've owned 3 corvettes..01 C5 6speed Z-51 LSI 350HP,02 Z06 405HP,,and recently 05 C6 400 HP LS-2 Auto..depending on driver skill,you only have a chance with the stock 350 hp models ,,the vettes are aprox 2000lbs lighter and top speeds are over 170mph..new C6 is rated at 186 top speed..
My cousin has a automatic 03 C5, every time we're together we play around with the two, and I'll beat him every time. Standing start, rolling start, there's little difference. If you know how to shift you should get a 1/4 car length on him. Now a Z06 is a different story.
