First off, to the moderators...I didn't know where to post this at, so I just put it here. If it's not in a good spot, please move it. :)

Ok, I appreciate everyone who answered all of my Q's about the SRT-10. I'm hoping by June I'll be riding in a Red (or Black) RC! :D But ya, the only big complaint I have is that I want to play mp3's using the stock stereo, but not use an FM modulator. Basically, I'm wanting to add something like an Ipod, Music Keg, or a satellite radio system.

Do any of ya'll know if the indash 6-CD changer or the GPS/NAV unit has any type of aux inputs in the front/back? I know for my F150 I bought a wiring harness that the audio from my DVD player ran through the factory unit's CD changer plug, and I wasn't sure if Dodge has the same thing going on.

BTW, for the North/South Carolina crowd..where's the best place in Western and Central carolinas to buy an SRT-10? The place in my town wants $49k (before tax/tag/title) for a vehicle that i built on Dodge's website for $48k! I'm open to all thoughts...

First of all when shopping for a srt10 forget logistics and the mentality of buying locally.....ok......just call Bill P. at Woodhouse.....he ships everywhere, and I mean everywhere for much less than you would pay locally......he is a sponser on this site. He shipped me my black beast back in July and it traveled all the way from Nebraskey to Maui with no problems...except me waiting for a couple weeks....

as for the stereo, I dont know, sorry dude..

Try this I got one of these and I have my IPod hooked directley to the disc changer plug. Works real well I can even control the IPod via the radio controls in the steering wheel  Its a little pricey but if you lack an input jack tis is much better that fm mod. BTW I have the Nav. system :D

Oooo thankya. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for!!! Man, I <3 ya'll...haha.

Also, thanks for the advice about Woodhouse. I looked at his inventory and all he had was QC's. I mean, I would get one at the right price, but right now I think my best best is a RC.

Dumb curiosity though...does anyone know how much is QC's run?

Milo-
Have you checked into a CD changer addition to your truck? I mean keeping the Nav. head unit, and adding on a changer.

And, does anyone know if you can run the Nav. CD and the "outboard" changer at the same time?

Kevan, I have looked into it, However I opted for my IPod more capacity= more fun! :D You can add a changer to the Nav system either a dodge unit or an aftermarket unit check out Cruthcfield, They will sell you a unit and an adapter to plug it in direct!

Thanks for the info, Milo.
I'm over 30, so for me to run around with an iPod gets me sneers from the "I'm wearing my big brothers pants" crowd.
:D

Can you play a CD in the changer while the head unit is running the Nav. CD? Being lost is one thing. Being lost without tunes is a whole other kind of hell.

dude, dont just look online, Bill can get just about anything and might just have some RC's stored away in his secret holding warehouse.....thats how I got mine......emailed him late in the day on a Friday, he called me 8 AM Sat morning and worked out a deal Monday AM. The truck then shipped on Tuesday for Maui!!!! Nobody sells more srt10's than Bill....If your serious I would call him.

Kevan, Are you saying I'm old, You are right I;m 49 But I don't see why I can't keep up with technology. LOL Yes to answer your question, once your route is in memory you can remove the nav. cd and play what you want. The voice over will bark out your directions! :)

Hmmm...I'll have to keep this in mind. I won't be able to get one for a couple of months because I'm in the process of getting another job (that pays a lot better than I do now), and that job will give me an employee discount on SRT-10's (I think). I wouldn't mind having a QC, but my big deal is $ and also that I want the 6-speed (haha). I would love to have something w/ more room in case i have to haul something fragile or a bunch of my family/friends.

Well, I could just tell them to hop in the bed and hold on while i'm doing 100mph+...lol

Screw carting a bunch of people around......the rc holds 3, thats plenty in my book!!!!!!! I had a qc hemi and hated how large the thing was when I really just wanted to feel fast and sporty...which the rc does....and the auto tranny.....I gotta shift those gears....
