The manual is not as bad as some, I find it almost impossible to stall. Only one other person has driven mine so far and they did quite well. They had never driven a stick, and only stalled once!

For the Auto, I just happened to get to drive a YF Quad up here on Saturday night. The nice thing about it is, just put the pedal down and IT RIPS!! :) :D

Ummm - I would bet you that in real world street driving that the auto is quicker at least til about 110 mph. We ran 13.29 with an auto QC with air intake and catback mods. The auto is effortless to go quick whereas the 6speed requires skill and finesse to get it to go quick.

Just an FYI for the 6speed guys - when you match up with an auto QC you best be on your shifting game.
Your Right John, I wasn't talking about my Hmm, Hmm shifting, I need more practice! Just quoting auto mags who I'm sure use "experienced drivers on a closed course" LOL :D

I disagree. The 6 speed trucks are 12 second trucks in real world street driving if you know what I mean. It's the launch that makes them 13+.

OK - well if launching from a standing start on the street is not real world I must have a different difinition. My point is simply that the auto is easier to launch for just about anybody as compared to the stick.
I was thinking the kind of racing we used to do. I wasn't thinking about stoplight to stoplight. With that I do agree.
The best thing about the QC is it is a real, usuable and fun piece of transportation that is unlike anything else in existence. I have the 96 GTS that I have kept stock over the years and still enjoy just looking at it in the garage. The GTS is fun to drive on pretty days and nothing compares to its raw performance but the automatic 505 cubic inch QC is just as enjoyable to drive and will tow my 24 foot center console fishing with three of my buddies along for the ride. I have found the transmission to be well matched to the power curve and torque of this wonderful engine. I never thought I would agree to pay the kind of money that Dodge demands for this beast but I am glad I did.
For those of you who have to fiddle with your trucks, John Hennessey knows more about this engine than anyone else around and all of his products are first rate. But for me this is as near a perfect truck as has ever been produced.

Ahh yes - our private test track race.

Beleive it or not, the damn auto has a kick down from hell that would also be hard to beat, stock auto v. stock 6sp, from a roll. I hate to sound biased or like a broken record. But I have driven the 6sp and the auto many miles and can say that the auto works really well for people like me who talk a lot on the cell phone and want to go fast without thinking about it.

Come by and see us sometime 9Sec. Take care,
