I don't know much in this area yet. There has been talk of performance gains from roller rockers and pushrods. Arrow racing (where Viper engines are rebuilt under warranty) makes a pedestal mount roller rocker. Try contacting them for a Gen III one. Mopar (T&D) makes a shaft mount but requires cylinder head modifications and spacers to raise the valve covers. If I was wanting to find out more (and I soon will be) I'd talk with Sean Roe of Roe Racing (http://www.roeracing.com/) or Dan Cragin of DC performance (http://www.dcperformanceinc.com/). These guys will take the time to explain what you want to know and will have a decent price if you choose what they sell.
yeah, i figure i could pick up a few hp & ftlbs as well as keeping a more accurate contact patch with the valve tip over the production stamped ( i assume stamped) rocker arm.
thanks mr 9!
The Gen 3 motor will respond to lifter and cam upgrades. Gen 2 cams are not compatable in the Gen 3 motor.

Rockerarms are a waste of time as far as I can tell. The stock Gen 3 has a 1.75 ratio. To bolt on a set of 1.70's would lose valve lift.

Also - you can change out the cam on the Gen 3 motor without having to pull off the intake and the heads. This is something the Gen 2 Viper motors cant do.

We got 448 rear wheel hp and 470 rear wheel torque out of Ram SRT10 truck today. More details about that later.

Hey Steve - how is the nitrous? Any track or dyno numbers yet?

Hey John. I was about to do all that before the "it's not a recall" came out. It's up with Hector having that done and a new clutch installed. Then I need 500 miles of break in for the clutch. I may be track testing it at the V-10 Nationals.

Steve

PS. Thanks for the Gen III engine tips!
