Damn, did you catch a L club meeting letting out? Way to recover from the tire spin and apply some punishment.here comes the red lighting
john said:First street race of the year put the guy in the red lighting in his place. I was going down telegraph road and the black lighting was messing with me but didnt get the opportunity to get one off. I pulled into McDonalds, grabbed something to eat, sitting in the parking lot and here comes the red lighting, he pulls right up to the side of my truck, ask who owned the truck, i said I did. Then he said do you want some? I said sure! I asked him where? He said right out in front of McDonald's on telegraph road. We pulled out there, lined up, took off. I blew the tires off all the way through 1st. He put about a truck in a half on me, I hit 2nd, pulled right up next to him, hit 3rd, and just walked away!! It was all said and done, I was a good 4 truck links ahead of him. So as far as Im considered to all the srt-10 owners, once you get the tires to quick spinning, and learn how to launch it, a Ford lighting is NO competition!
This is to the guy in the red lighting...how did you like those tail lights??? HAHA!

Careful you haven't broken in your engine yet.john said:It was like 2:00 am friday night right infront of the 50's mcdonalds, as far as the lightening go's I do not know nothing about it but i dont understand that if it was wore out why would he wipe right up in the parking lot, pull right next to us and say "lets go"...if it doesnt run good. If you want we could set up a race in Belleville on northline...which is a good spot. What do you have done to your truck? Mines bone stock with 300 miles on it and I have a friend that has a 2000 lightening with pulleys on it..the best time he has ever done at Milan Drayway was 14.0's..and the funny part about it is that i have a another friend with a Mustang and his best time was 14.30's and those two have races about 6 times on the street and the mustang wins every single time!!!! Go figure..

I just challenged it and called it B.S.
LMFAO! Are you joking?john said:It's going to take more than a lightening with pulleys, chip, and exhaust to beat a bone stock SRT-10.
We're not a high elev. not sure what it is though. Milan, I hear, is slippery. Never got to run it (rain) when I was over there.01svtL said:14's with pullies? No way. Never heard that before. a 4# lower will put just about every single L in the 12's. Unless you guys are in really high elevation, both those guys need to check their trucks out. High elevation will cause the L to run a half second or more slower than at sea level.
Trust me when I say there are issues that have to be fixed with a KB Lightning that cant beat a stock Ram SRT-10 by many many lengths.D Davis said:We're not a high elev. not sure what it is though. Milan, I hear, is slippery. Never got to run it (rain) when I was over there.
I'm not sure 14s with mods but, there are some that suck look at the one w/kenne bell and stuff lost 2 of 3. only got the 3rd suposedly, cause the timing chain on the SRT Ram broke. (can't confirm it though)
I've said it before, thiers going to be a lot of Ls getting thier a$$ handed to them this summer cause they don't take the competition serious. and vise versa. Thats why this summers going to be so much FUN![]()
I should have stopped by there after the Autorama. Didn't think there would be any cars out yet even with the temps warming up. I pulled all the mods to have warranty work done before it expired. I do have Nitto Drag radials and a cut factory airbox with the stock paper filter. I know Bellevile...My truck runs 13.5's stock all day in the summer. 13.4's stock in cool weather like we have.john said:It was like 2:00 am friday night right infront of the 50's mcdonalds, as far as the lightening go's I do not know nothing about it but i dont understand that if it was wore out why would he wipe right up in the parking lot, pull right next to us and say "lets go"...if it doesnt run good. Funny huh? Considering many 13.4-13.7 (yes some do run low 14's), and with a pulley, the damn things WILL do 12.8's-12.9's. Hell all mine has is a 2# upper pulley (worth all of about 8 hp w/o a chip) and magnaflow mufflers, and I ran a 13.1 a couple of weeks ago at Baytown. Most people do a 4# lower pulley and run 12's immediately. My 4# is sitting in my room waiting to go on. I'll be mid 12's after that with the chip. Supercharged motors gain massive hp with pullies, unlike n/a vehicles.john said:FUNNY (LOL)

Look at trap speeds. 98-101 on average for an L, 105-109 on average for the SRT10. It's just pulling WAY harder on the topend. The only reason they should lose through the 1/4 is subpar shifting or launching, which is likely the culprit. And NastyWendy raced no pro, he was just some guy Dodge hired to take the truck around to dragstrips, he's probably not yet even had much seat time in it considering her kill was, what? 1 week after the top speed run? This was probably his first time running it down the track!
An R/T owner will be taking his to the track very shortly and we'll have some REAL 1/4 times and many will be surprised.........
GOOD KILL JOHN!
