For those of you near Dallas and Fort Worth, Speedway Childrens' Charities is hosting Charity Laps at Texas Motor Speedway Saturday, May 8, from 6-10pm. $25 for 3 laps around the high-banked oval. I hope to see some SRT-10s out there tomorrow! Last year we got about 12 Lightnings on at once and got up to 120-130 on the straightaways.

They do have some minor rules to follow (stay behind the pace car, no passing, etc), but if you are ready to drive on the street you are ready to ride on the oval. Riders are welcome as well!

I hope to see a few of you guys out there!

Just wanted to let you guys know there was one SRT-10 that showed up and had some fun on the oval. He ended up on the lap with most of us Lightning guys. It was good to see one of you guys out there. I hope to see more at other events as well.

Here are a few pics.

That looks like a lot of fun! Just curious, how fast did y'all go?
I made it to between 110-115. I figure the guy in the SRT-10 did close to the same. They tried to keep most groups under 80, but a little sandbagging usually helps.

He got with a much better group than his first set of laps. He got stuck with the Scion (sp?) club on his first go around , so I don't think he went too fast. I never got a chance to talk to him, though. I have seen this guy at a few events, so eventually we'll cross paths.
