Well I'm going to be ordering the Checkmate lid to intall on the truck when I get it back next week.

Like this: http://www.checkerpro.com/hardcovers.html

For those that have installed it - please help with a couple of questions:

1) When you paint it. How hard is it to get a smooth paint job to that matches the rest of the paint. Is there a lot of sanding required etc?

2) How difficult is it to make the cut to get the wing to fit right? Did you have to remove the wing to put it on?

I want to come up with a final product that ends up looking like this person's truck. It looks AWESOME. But I know I won't be able to raise the lid.

womsterr, I have seen this one before, It appears to me that the spoiler location was not changed at all, Therefore I don't see why any modification is necessary? Have you seen this in person?

Thanks Milo. I've continued my search on the web. We are iced over here in Atl so not much to do so here I am on the 'net.

It appears that the only a slight notch is required to make the checker pro top fit.

It ALSO appears that the pictures of what I posted above ARE NOT the Checkmate/Checkerpro lid.

I'VE GOT TO FIND OUT WHAT KIND OF TOP THIS IS!!!!!

I have a couple emails out - sure could use some help if someone else knows...

It looks like it could be a Sprint Tonneau. It is the only hard tonneau I've seen that does not have the lip around the top. I believe they come standard with a carpeted underside. Do a google search on Sprint Tonneau and that will show you some places to get one.
