Clutch

Come to notice the clutch on this truck is either in or out. Not really much of anything in between. Last stick I had the clutch started to engage almost as soon as you started to let up on the pedal.

I also notice the trans is a bit noisy but then again, I am not used to a monster machine like this so I really don't know what to expect as far as sounds.

I can tell you at 4000RPM wholly smokes you can feel the power but I am not taking it past that (only did it a few times in 2nd and 3rd) until 1000 miles or so.

Clutch? What Clutch? These things have clutches in them?

My RPS organic clutch is a BEAST. Go get one :)

Nice stuff.. Really like the Billet Carbon Clutches, but after dropping 45K on the SRT, I will wait until I ~NEED~ a new clutch.

both my father and i agree that the clutch on the 05 is a ton better them on the 04

it also shifts much smoother but stiffer (like the springs are heavier)

but as a short term tset till they went away for the winter the yellow 05 has a nicer clutch IMHO

Hey Craig. Is the organic clutch go by the name/the same as - a carbon clutch? I'm a little confused.

On my Invoice it is "RPS Organic Clutch". I'll scan it in tommorrow sans the pricing, and post it.

No need Craig I spoke with RPS today. Thank you for the offer. They have an "organic" and 6 puck.

The are coming out with a carbon carbon in march or so. They say there is some sicko out there with a silver twin turbo that can really use it (no joke - the really did mention your truck).

I'm hoping to take you up on your offer to come check out the silver bullet. I been to Miami a couple times in the past couple weeks but your Orlando, right?

Anyway...hope your well....

HAHA. You are welcome. Yep, not too far off the Turnpike (by about 45 minutes). It's going back to Hennessey for some upgrades and alterations. The Powerglide tranny should be able to hold the 1x00hp without much trouble. But the Red rocket is remaining a Stick, so it'll need something better than a RPS, Centerforce, or McLeod solution ;) ;)

Oh and yea, the Silver Bullet is getting attention from all over :D
