Has anyone bled the cooling system via the bleeder valve above thermostat housing, I couldn't find anything in the service manual about it, Just wondering when and if you need to do that.

Shouldn't need to unless you open the system. If you do all you have to do is leave the truck running barely open the bleeder until all the air is out and you have a steady stream of coolant , close and you're done. Its just to relive the air from the system, sorta like farting. Oh yeah only do this starting with the engine not blazing hot. By the way you really need something to do if you're staring at a bleeder valve. :D lol

I'm not positive but that could be a carryover from the Viper where the radiator is lower than the top of the engine. We shouldn't need it.
