Damn Srt-10's are so overpriced in CA...

I've went to 2 different dealers that have the Srt-10. One dealer I was able to bring the price down to 55k and the other to 60k. Is there any way I can lower the price to at least 50k? Tips for lowering price?

Buy one in a neighboring State.

Is there one in Las vegas? It will be easier since we have a store down there.

Thats why you call and ask.

There's two different dealers in NJ selling one each. Sit down before you read this. A black one for 41.8K. A silver one . . . hold on tight . . . 38K! I kid you not. Might be worth the flight, and the cost of the vehicle, and the shipping cost (or cost of gas to drive it), and the cost to comply with Cali emissions to get that one. :D

Would almost be worth getting "legal assistance" to hold them to that price. As mentioned earlier in this thread by KCdakotaRT, the best thing to do is CALL, like you did.

A dealer in Manassas, VA near me has one to this day listed on the Dodge 5-Star site for 45K. But when you get to the dealership it has a nice little sign below the window sticker indicating that the truck has a 5K "Limited Edition Fee" tacked on. No where on the web inventory does it mention a mark-up. I pointed it out to the sales manager a couple weeks ago. He curtly replied "Thanks, I'm busy now. Have a nice day"'. It was this lack of customer service that made me keep looking and find the truck I bought. Needless to say, I drove my new machine to this guy's lot and showed him my sales slip to prove that not all dealers were gouging. He said something like "Well their a second tier dealer obviously not interested in making money". I told him they were on the same 5-Star tier he was on. Jerk.

Reminds me of the individual who got the discounted Viper years back because Dodge failed to make an exclusion statement for it in their TV ads. I say don't piss off the people that provide your income.

Thanks for clearing that up. Hate to see Black Beast get a raw deal.

I called that place as well - Oasis motor sales or something like that?? The 'not overly friendly' guy said the 38K price was a mistake, the truck was not in stock, and when it does come in it'll be more like 52K.

The next thing he heard was a click. :p
Well I have been waiting for a silver one to come in, the dealer said it should be in by friday so i went down to start the paperwork but suprise suprise it is now 56k. So I ask what happened to paying msrp like we discussed from the start. Answer was 56 is the market price and if I don't want it someone else will the black one they had sold to someone in NY. I guess it's time to check out other dealers. So much for keeping the money local.

Sorry just wanted to vent.
