I wouldn't say that, Lightnings are running anywhere from 13.1 to 13.4 stock and the SRT hasn't posted any great numbers yet...even with all the extra power.

TrueBlueSVT said:Hey dude, I'm a Lightning fan. I think its a sharp looking truck. I'd even own one. I'm just a Mopar guy. And I think your brethren in the L world will support me in spite of the friendly Ford/Dodge rivalry that only in the wildest crack dreams does a Lightning run 13.1-13.4 stock. Maybe a stray freak here and there, and every builder has them. But not consistently as an average. The Black Beast said:Doors will also be gone in a lightning.QUOTE]

I think we've had this out on another thread though.

Truck Trend says 13.7 Seconds 1/4 mile Since the people who are testing the truck are pros I'm going to say 14 sec 1/4 mile for the average person. That's my opinion though.SNCBOOM said:wow...and they have all of one lightning in the whole club![]()
So in that case their 13.19 @ 107.07 with the SRT would be better than the average person? So lets just say 13.3 or 13.4 for the average person? Those numbers sound reasonable.Hamrhead said:My '99 ran 13.70 @ 99.8 with a 1.9 60'. 700 miles on the clock at Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ. Factory stock right down to the air filter and the temps were in the mid-60's that day. Only got 3 runs in that day - 2 were 13.7's and my very first run with the truck was a 13.8.
IMO, as long as there is a reasonably good launch pad at the strip, the L's are basically easy to run the number. I consider myself average at drag racing as I only get to the strip a couple times a year. (Working so much sucks, but it gets me my toys!)

Yep, once when it was bone stock. Managed a 13.6/7 -ish at about 102. I'm sure I could've done better with practice, but like your sweet, new SRT-10, it takes some time to perfect it!VIPERAM said:Those numbers sound reasonable.
BTW, have you ever run your Cobra at the track in stock trim? If so, what did it run?
Ran a 13.25 with stock air box at the time on Nitto Streets. It was my third time to take the truck down the track.01svtL said:Haha mid 14's stock my @ss. Those are the freaks. My first time in my 01 L with bald f1's and first time ever on the track I ran a 13.72. The average is 13.4 - 13.8 from what I've seen. The freaks on the other side of the scale are 13.1 - 13.3. Not many do that. Only one 13.1 bone stock I believe. Have been quite a few to do 13.2 - 13.3 right off the floor.
