Hi

I ordered my SRT-10 Ram in Sept. When I call DC with the VON they say there is a edit error and a material restriction on the order and to contact my dealer. When I talk to my dealer he says he talked to the rep and everything is ok all the orders are like that right now. If anyone has any info I would appreciate it.

something is strange

I called my dealer the other day to find out if he heard anything new about my order I placed on oct 7th. When I told him that the first person recieved their srt-10 in Texas he said that his daily updates on his computer said that the srt-10 is still at the TBA status. This is very strange,is there any dealers out there that can comfirm this. I know they are out there but I am still concerned about when and if I will get mine

I'm having a similiar problem here in cali. My order is still in BG status. My dealer has three others allocated which will be shipping on Jan 19. You would think they would fill a sold order before a spec truck is built and shipped. They are not doing that. I guess I'll be getting a silver truck instead of black!

You also have to remember that Texas dealers get theirs first since that is the first stop from Mexico. It is no different then when people in the New York/Jersey area were getting the new Durangos months before the west coast. Just like real estate, it is all about location, location, location! And well, allocation, allocation, allocation!!! =)

dealer allocation

Talked To My Dealer About Dealer Allotments For The Srt's . The High Truck Volume Dealers Get More Of The Srt's And They Get Them Quicker. Since Texas Is The Largest Truck Market In The Country, The Majority Of The Early Shipped Trucks Will Be Stopping In Texas. Although, There Is One In Stock In Columbus, Ohio , And Is On Ebay Right Now.

Here is the response given to me by a VCA member in "the know"

"I have 12 Ram SRT's on order, and none of them have moved yet. They all sitting in BG, all that means is that a order is in the system. DC told me that they may only fill 3 out of the 12 in 2004! To fill all my orders, it may take two or three years!! You would be one of the lucky people if your order gets picked this year! There is at least 25,000 orders in the system and DC is building 3000 Ram SRT's a year! Don't hold your breath! Sorry for the SH$TY news, but that's the way it is."

That doesn't make me real happy but what can we do.

Joe,

My order has been in since !0/6/03, and I'm still in BG status (90+ days).
I guess maybe I'll get lucky this weekend and the point will be moot.
Wish me luck.

Woodhouse Viper has probably the best reputation in the industry as far as customer service and availability are concerned... they also help sponsor these forums so I would definetly consider them for your purchase.

Bill Pemberton is a member here, he would probably love a PM from you if you are looking.

Dodge dealers blow!

Seattle dealer cancelled my first order, because he decided that he did not want to sell to an out-of-state buyer.

Then Victorville was looking real good until last week, but then told me that if I wanted the truck I would have to pay a $10K premium.

My local dealer in Irvine has one priced at $92K. Theiving SOBs.

And finally some guy in Colma CA said he had a silver one for me at MSRP last Friday, but now he won't even return my calls.

I really wish the Lightning was out already, so I could tell Dodge to stick their SRT where the sun don't shine.

Sheep, I'll be taking with Stuart on Friday, I'll see what the problem is. I'm not defending the guy but they are in the process of remodeling the dealership. People are spread out all over the place in different locations now. I know his office got moved to service which is a mile down the road. But like I said I'm not defending the guy for not returning calls. I'll give you an update ASAP. Hell you might just get a call tomorrow. Buy the way their three trucks are built and on the way.

I'm not at liberty to dicuss pricing of my truck. As for you I'd go with MSRP, which his what he quoted you. He does not seem too thrilled about selling to a non local buyer because of all the other issues that can arrive. My advice to you is to get a deposit to him and not bicker with the pricing. The Bay Area is notorious for price gouging. If he will sell it to you for msrp i think you are doing pretty good. Stuart is a stand up guy. He has been with this dealership for 12 plus years. I feel he needs convincing you are truly serious and will do everything in your power to make it happen.

"Needs convincing that I am truely serious"? I have called him four freaking times in the last week, and he has not even bothered to return my calls.

What the hell do I have to do to convince him I am serious, FedEx him a suitcase full of cash?

I very much appreciate your input, but I think he is full of crap. He said he could sell it to me for MSRP, but he said he would see if he could do any better, and call me back within 24-hours.

That was a week ago, since then I have left him three messages, and he has blown me off. What a freaking ass! I understand if he would rather sell it to someone local, and I understand if he does not want to bicker about the price, but he should at least have the balls to tell me for god's sake!

The more I think about it... the more I hate Dodge.
