well on the f150 site, they just posted a video of the ram srt 10 loosing. 13.8 to a 13.3 lightning. It was filmed in the day, so its legit as can be. Look like the ram took him off the light, but the ford ran him down.
it looks like the guy in the srt10 doesnt know how to drive his new truck.... give him some time the srt10 will run in the 12s with a good driver.....my 03 hemi truck longbed ran 13.71 at 99mph in the 1/4 mile and it has alot less hp give these guys time to figure the trucks out then they will crush the lightning
Hemi777 All the hemi's iv'e seen run are from 14.90 t0 15.50 are you telling us that a stock hemi runs as good as a SRT10 ???????????? Mofo

Technically he's not stock but he doesn't have any big power adders. Plus he's a badass driver :D
SNCBOOM What does technically mean. Thats also as fast as the Lightnings.

He removed the Cat, muffler, air filter, swaybar, spare tire, and did the TMR Mod. I was commending Hemi777 on his 13 second run.
Well they said, the guy in the ram was getting better with each run. They said his first run was like a 14.6 and he was steadly dropping that with each pass. The L owner said he's putting dow 390whp and 450 torque with the setup he ran.

So far the responses are civil over there. I was expecting to see the usually, oh yeah look at the pos dodge, somebody call a flatbed, etc etc etc.

My Hemi run's 14.6 @ 92, and I have not even done some of the tricks 777
has, like the removing spare, tailgate, heavy ass tonneau cover or disconecting the swaybar ...but I'm not exactly stock either.
278 rwhp and 318 torque is all I got to work with.

I saw the run in person... The reason the dodge looks like it took off was because they were bracket racing. SRT10 had a slower dial so he got the green light first..
good video

how did the SRT manage to almost bunny hop off the line, but not spin his tires?

It's easier than you might think. If you rev to 2000 to 2500 and dump the clutch you get the initial jump and then the bog.

Where was that run made at?

My truck had a faster ET than that, and it's a Hemi .....
it looked like he launched pretty good, and did not miss any gears ...

:D hard to disagree there.
Whoa.. I never saw that video, I thought it was a different one.

Here is the one against the lightning.

(ignore commentary)

And here is another (ignore the commentary) against a bad a$$ (read quick) car.

I didn't make these and I'm assumming they were taken somewhere around TEXAS.

I still haven't seen one on the streets in Michigan.
(seen a few Ford Gt's though)

Well ...looks like the SRT-10 owner was showing some major improvements.

Give us a link to all his runs. The first run was 14.65

The only reason the L won is the SRT-10 broke out,
running a 13.855 on a 13.99 dial in.

Thats not exactly getting spanked as the video's title suggests.

I think the SRT owner did a good job.

The run was at Texas Motorplex.

The commentator's lightning is getting a built engine, and he has more runs under his belt in the last year than anyone else in the club..
I would also like to point out, this is a hobby and is all for fun.. including smack talk :D

Eventhough, I'm not one to do it myself....it's still entertaining..
