To all owners, i have been looking at some pics of the interior of the new SRT-10 Ram and have noticed the shifter is pretty tall. I believe the tranny is the same in the Ram and Viper SRT-10 (Tremec T56), but the shifter in the truck is so tall. I was just wondering how the throw on it is? is it longer, but still like shifting a Viper? Thanks for the help....

Well of course the throws are longer, and it is'nt even close to the viper. It takes about twice as long to shift compared to the short throws of the viper.

I will have to make a minor correction, as the Hurst shifter is wonderful in the truck, and I actually feel it shifts better than the Viper. This is not a wild assumption, but one based on the positive feel and having driven a ton of Snakes. It is a great shift lever ,especially for a truck, and you will find it to your satisfaction. The tranny is the same, the feel is not, and Dodge and Hurst did a fine job with this application.
