O.K.
There is an event in N.C. April 15-17 its called Mopars At The Rock.
It is an all day Mopar drag racing event.
Come one, come all.
There is a,
Viper shoot out
Dakota R/T shoot out
Neon/PT Cruiser shootout
I figured sience the SRT-10 Ram is Viper Powered they would let you run in that catagory.
The Host Hotel info is
Rockingham Days Inn
408 W. Broad St.
Rockingham, N.C.28379
1-910-895-1144
Rates are:
King 64.50+tax
Dbl. 70.50+tax
I know you can use the Dakota R/T club as a discount probably the Viper club too
For the last 3 years there has been at least 12-15 Vipers.
we are expecting over 40 Dakota R/T's.
So come on down, hang out, go racing, and watch Mopars go fast!!!!!

Joe just came thru K-town, I'll be there and you might want to call the guys at the underground, they will want to be there.
Can anyone find out for sure if we will be able to run??

I'd hate to drive all the way there and not get a chance to run. But then again it would still be a blast. You would get to see the Vipers and R/T's goin at it!!
Any Mopar can run, there is bracket racing, ant shoot-out's for above named vehicles.
If you are good at brackets bring it on, if not come anyway and practice fri. night for Sat.
Remember there is racing Friday night, Saturday during the day and Saturday night is from 8pm to midnight. One should get plenty of runs in!!!!!!!!
Later,
I may try to make that ,,,

it would be fun to run my little Hemi against a SRT-10 ;)

All just for fun of course :)
Thats what its all about , fun factor, heck the way I drive I have to watch out for the HEMI, missing third, spinning too much, heck one night my MOTHERINLAW got me by atruck and a half before I quit spinning, and she was in a dang 4wd cummins. THAT was embarrassing!LOLOLOL :D
:D :D :D :D

It would be fun..I have not been to Rockingham since last year this time.
With the addition of the SC I should be about a 14.0 @ 94 or so.

It's very consistent though..so I should get into some bracket racing
Count me in, I plan to go. Should be alot of fun, just need to get some practice in on launches before hand. ;)
I e-mailed the track and got this response.

Marc,
Thanks for your interest. We will have a class for show and can run you together in a race -- trophy to winner and runnerup, if we get enough participation. Can park you together as well.
Let me know how many you expect and we can procede.
Steve

Lets try to get a showing together. It's worth a trophy just for the best show truck and runner up in our catagorie.

Anyone wanna grab this thing and organize it. I'm new to these things an wouldn't want to muck it up.

I'm definetly goin!!!
I'm in and out to much to help too much, But if it doesn't interfere with my race scedule I'll be there, looking to do the quarter with marct and the hemi's. :D
Marc ..
Are you trying to get a class for the SRT-10 truck...
or one for the site? I'm assuming a class for your truck,
just wondering.
I'm too far out to really help much,...it's about 100 miles for me.
I'm fairly familiar with the track and area and have raced there a lot
dating back to the mid 90's

Mark,

Just a class for the truck. All that needs to be done is come up with a list of people who are going to go. If it is enough to justify another class they will set it up. I'm suree there will be an entry fee for the show side. Not sure how much. I want to go just to get some time on a good track with others who have to deal with traction issues. Hopefully this track will be a little stickier than the one I ran on. I quess weather will have alot to say with that. April shouldn,t be too bad but you never know.
OK, I thought so. My truck is a Hemi, but I'll be there to support you guys ;)

The track should be in good shape by April. With this type of event going on
they should have it prepped good ... meaning sticky ;)
