Had truck all of 6 hours

Last night, I've had my truck for all of 6 hours when I get pulled over by a Texas Department of Public Safty (Texas's finest) and get a big fat ticket for 85mph. "But officer I just picked it up and am just getting used to it" which the officer says "You better slow that thing down, Boy, have a good evening"

Do I get the 1st place prize for getting the first ticket in their new truck?

Btw: The truck is great! It shifts clean and pulls hard (to 4000rpm for breakin!) ;)

<6 hours would be hard to beat. Where was your Valentine 1?
We had a woman who goes by Viperess ( Louisianna ) get a ticket for 91 mph about the same time after she got her SRT-10 ( Viper ). She didn't get out of it either and she even has a Valentine 1. The officers in many States now have instant on/off and it is getting hard to avoid. Sorry for the hassle, but many out there probably will join you.
OUCH!
I think you win that first place prize. :)
Almost forgot, Congrats. on the new ride. can't wait for some copless stories :D
First Victim...!

Congrats MIGHT be in order, but try to work out that ticket with your local court. Some County/States offer a "deferment".. i.e., you pay a fine, and maybe some hours helping out old folks like myself, and if no more tickets for a year, the ticket is dropped from your driving record. Certainly worth the effort to ask about a "deferment" it could save you some $$ on the long run, once Mr. Insurance Agent gets wind of your error.

BTW, is your truck RED?

Umm, Congrats? My best was buying a new car on Monday and getting a ticket Wednesday.
My SRT-4 has received two tickets in it, and it had less then 800 miles..

I wasnt driving it on either occasssion... but on the 2nd ticket, I was following the guy driving the car in one of my other cars, had the cruise set for 70mph, he had his set for 70mph, and we are in a 70mph zone... cop pulls him over for doing 87mph in a 70 -- I pulled over and I was like "thats my car, and we were both cruising at 70mph, no way was he doing 87" -- Sheriff wouldnt listen, so court here we come.

First ticket, the guy deserved. I told him to slow down, he didnt listen... bam, lights come on :)

WINNER!! ;) Hey, what's the use of owning the world's fastest production truck if you can't test it out a few (dozen) times! Be safe out there! :p
The Valentine was working fine, I was traveling east and the cop was traveling west at about 11:00pm. The 'instant on radar' went off just as he passed me. I knew I was busted.
Since the ticket was in Texas, it may not go on my record here in Colorado. Previous tickets that I have gotten down there have not shown up on my record.

Nav: My truck is bright red and looks goooood. I will have pictures up at http://srt10truck.com soon.

Late,
Taylor
