I wonder if everyone who has the Magnaflow exhaust has the same situation? I have to clean the inside of the tips after everytime I drive the SRT due to them looking pretty dirty. Their black inside. Is this normal? Is it todays fuel? I didn't disconnect the battery when installing the exhaust system.(actually had a muffler shop do it). If I did that now would that take care of it? I did go alittle fast today getting on the freeway. Can we say 120mph by the end of the on ramp? OOPS! I know, pretty stupid and careless of me. Could this be because of that? Is the engine running too rich? Thanks. I worry about crap like this all of the time. Thanks again.

OMG Really you have black "stuff" on the inside of your tail pipe tips. It is soot and is very normal. Don't stress so much and enjoy life more. Be good to yourself.

Got the same black stuff on mine. Put the first coat of wax on her today and got out the rag and polished the outs and ins of the tips.....Man does my truck look good all waxed up.... I love this truck!!!!

Yeah, me too. I always have a rag on the workbench, that is less than clean, which I can use to simply wipe the inside of the tips every couple days.

Mine runs rich like that also. I'm pretty sure that is why they rated it a 9 on 1-10 scale for emmissions!! 10 being the worst!!
