I have just registered on this site but have been reading the forums for quite a while. Just wanted to let you guys know that K&N has come out with the Air Charger kit for our trucks ( Just like the FIPK just not CARB Approved). More horsepower!!!!!!! The part number is 63-1107 on the K&N site.

Kewl :)

Thx for the info
Thanks for the heads up! I just ordered one also. This looks like a very nice kit at a good price. I am pleased to see more mods are starting to show up.
Post some pics after the install!! I am curious to see if it really protects from the engine bay heat.

As you guys now, they sure generate alot of heat!!!
I will be recieving the kit this thursday and will try to post pics by friday or saturday. Hopefully it will protect from the engine heat.
I order one as well and it's back order for 4 to 6 weeks. It would be great if you could post some pics.
How Much Did You Pay For It?and Were Did You Order From?

Thanks

Eric
Great Pictures

Went to the K&N website, they have full installation instructions with over 30 pictures.
If you have a printer that will do 11X17 paper they come out really clear.
A friend of mine at 4 wheel parts ordered it for me and i think the total was $303 including tax. I think he gave me a discount.
i just ordered mine from performance products

Do you notice any performance difference? Does it sound any different?
It definately feels and sound stronger than before. I will have it dynoed soon.
Man that thing is fugly looking. I'm interested to see how much of a performance gain it gets over 9 secs design. Do the other 2 small vent hoses connect somewhere to the K&N intake?

dude if that's correct you just added some good hp and torque!!! Did you do a before dyno with the stock unit? Is the rest of your truck stock? Any catback or anything else?

patrick
My truck is totally stock except for the intake. Before this i had dynoed my truck and it only did about 410rwhp with the stock intake, so i changed the spark plugs and drove it for a while since i thought it might not have been broken in yet (only about 2000 miles on it the first time) . Now it has about 5000 miles on it and with the intake is running very strong. I am pleased with the numbers!!!
