Bought my truck a couple of weeks ago. I was surching the internet and found
this forum (too cool). I was reading one of the threads that rang a bell in my head ie.. oh ****! Anyway my question is: Is there a recall on the cam ? If so why didn't my dealer tell me that when I bought it? Is Dodge sending notifications to owners ? How did you guys find out about this or is it just someone starting a ulgy rumor?

Welcome! I just got my SRT-10 thursday It's possible that your cam was already fixed at the factory or the dealer did it before you bought it? If I'm wrong someone please correct me.

There is a recall on the the cam bolts by dodge. It is no rumor. Check with your dealer if it has been done already or if it applies to your vin#.

There is no official recall. Dodge has made available to dealers a list of VIN's that need to have the cam bolts checked. It is very possible that you were not affected (most weren't) or the service was done before you bought it. Your dealer has the info. I hear from over an the Viper board that the list of VIN's has been expanded. Probably as additional failures come in.
