the clutch is much nicer and the shifter is much stiffer then the red one (04)

Congrats Mr. Elegant Tick Tock, Doc!!!

The one thing I noticed is that they are number 1-500, and I guess I assumed they would be listed 1-200 for the Reg. Cabs, and 1-300 for the Quad Cabs. Oh, well, they are all numbered and the SRT folks should be thanked for that nice touch. We have some low numbers ( like 59 and 31 ) and then the jump to the hundreds, so who knows how they did them. I am waiting to see if the Quad Cabs are all higher numbers , or if the trucks were interspersed?

Bill can correct me, but I don't think the # of 500 has any relation to the VIN number or order in which it was built. So you could have one of the first trucks (1st VIN number) but a higher # of 500, so I wouldn't put too much stock in having #1 of 500.

Congrats on the truck.

Craig you are correct on that,
the vin numbers are actual build sequence not sure it it realtes to the number on the dash

to me its more of a coolness thing but i dont really care i live having only 1 of 201 RC yellow fevers in the world

I just hope that DCX stops the yellow srt 10s after 1 production run

im having Juan (the plant manager in Mexico) friend of my fathers, have one of his people do some research for me on the build sequence of the srt 10 rams as far as vins to build to the number plaques

i do not think the number plaques are added at ASC here in michigan because when i saw the 2 freight damaged QC at my local dealer (they do a lot of body work for DCX do to fact they are right by th train tracks) the number plates were installed but the hoods were not painted black yet

have to wait to see what the Mexicans say later in the week

PS the guys in Mexico that build our beloved trucks are great people that work theire butts off and make a awesome product

Jamie...Congrats on the yellow beast! My buddy is picking one up in Milwaukee next week.

Do you sell gold Presidential Rolex's?? I'm looking for a reliable dealer. I have a Piaget 18kt strap watch I want to trade in for a new Rolex. Can you call me at my real estate office??

Thanks,

So lets see here, its Dec. 15, so you basically snowed in now there in MI??? :D Ok just kidding....it was cold here last night, I was freezing had two blankets on the bed, must have been in the low 60's maybe even high 50's.....thats cold for us islanders.....were getting a monster swell today 30 to 50 footers......thats equals death to must of us!!!

Have fun with your new baby.....please tell us that she will be garage kept over the winter?? Or is the red one filling up that space already!

Congratulations Jamie on your new truck!

I understand your pre-arrival anxieties. My new 05' Black Quad Cab is sitting at the dealer getting PDI'd as I speak (type). My right (lead) foot has been twitching since I got the call that it finally arrived. I can't wait to go Porsche hunting

I live in Vancouver, B.C. Canada. The total allotment for Canada is below 20 units and mine will be the only Quad Cab on the west coast of Canada (thats what the dealer says).

I also want to add a word of thanks to all those current owners that have posted on this forum. The discussions and information provided have been great reading for us virgins. I cant wait to start making those HP adjustments!

Well Jamie and Ernie I know you should be excited...especially you Ernie the waiting is killer.Mine was bought off the showroom floor so by the time the paperwork was done and I got them to peel the window sticker I was on my way.Only an hours worth of anxiety.

The '05 exhaust has a resonator just before the exhaust tips. Why? Who knows the reason? The stock exhaust sound is pitiful anyway. The clutch and brake pedals are a different shape now too. They are square. The 6 disc radio has electronic bass and treble controls now instead of the sliding switches. Plus 4:56 rearends! :D

i did notice the radio was differnet but my 04 has the nav system (waste of $$ IMHO)

the exhaust does sound different but i may be since i have been driving my little hemi since october (LOL)

did not look at the pedals yet

now i did notice the 05 clutch is 110% better feeling (could be im used to driving a stick now and the red was the 1st manual i ever had)

the stick is much tighter when i move it around maybe stiffer springs or its just not broken in yet
