Hello all, new guy here. I'm a Mopar-aholic. I currently have 2 restored '70 Charger RT's, '00 300M daily driver mine and a '03 Hemi Ram (wife's).

I'm getting one, I have to since I found out they're equipped with an automatic. I'm a para.

My mother works at a Dodge dealership and we can get one(net-net) for 45k, they currently have 5, we want the silver. What are you guys paying for insurance? How much did it go up over per say a regular 1500? Do you tell the insurance agent it's a 1500 and act stupid or tell 'em what it really is?

New guy getting nosey right away ;) Thnks for your time, Mike.

Cool, that sounds about right. That's all they ever ask for anyway, the VIN #'s. That used to be the first thing I checked, rates.

Yeah I know, if I have to ask, I prolly don't deserve one. :D

I had an 02 QC 1500, I gave them the VIN and the gal said "oh that's the one with the Viper engine!", I though well here we go. Total - 8 bucks more per 6 mos. My motorcycle insurance costs more.

We're putting the Hemi up for sale this weekend. I like the responses so far. Payments are only forty bucks more a month to boot. And I haven't even seen a real live QC yet.
I hope that the r _ d b _ _ _ _ n scares my wife off so I can drive it. I can't even say it until I own it. :D

1. Why is this forum so 4 cylinder slow?
2. I'd like to change my user name. Is that something I can do or does an administrator need to do that.

My wife totaled our truck last Saturday. The girls were OK, just real sore.

Last time I was here we had a pocketful of money to buy a QC but come to find out cashing in a 401k was brutal at the end of the year tax-wise. So much for all that extra money.

Fast forward to today. I've been looking all week. There just aren't that many QC SRT 10s' up in the NW. There sure is a lot of them in Texas.

So we bit the bullet & bought one @ a dealership. He showed me their used car inventory & how much they were in to each rig. I know he was honest cause my Mom sent me an identical list from her dealership. Same columns, everything.

They were in our truck $21k & he asked me what I thought they should be asking for it. I told him I didn't want to insult him & laughed. He asked if 1k was too much more & I said no, we shook hands & the deal was done.

I don't think I did too bad, $22k for the rig with 50,600 miles.

Is there an SRT 10 club around the Portland/Vancouver area? There can't be too many of them.

I haven't even drove it yet, just rode with my wife. But I will say I can finally mark this off my bucket list. I've wanted one of these since they came out. I have zero issues selling my '71 'cuda now.

I know they all look the same. I'll have to do something to distinguish it being ours but w/o further ado, my/our new ride.

Yea, PM the Administrator, he's sometimes a bit slow at getting back to us, but he is the one to change your name

And yes, this place is slow with all the ads

You can speed the Forum Up a Ton if you download the program "Simple Ad Blocker", Link Here.

It can be turned on and off when you use the site (I simply leave mine on all the time without issues). It speeds up the forum about 5 times as fast.... :)
