The oil weight and type for the 05 is 0w40 syntehtic (Mobil 1)


What is the weight and type for the 04's ?

I saw a picture on an 04 SRT-10 Ram engine and the oil cal said 10w30 Mobil1

10W-30 Mobil 1 on my oil cap Silver '04

Same as the Vipers my 04 was 10w-30,my 05 Viper is 0w-40

Yeah I have heard of people not getting engine warranty because of the grade of oil they used. Mobil I hav alot of faith in.

good thing i noticed the change i was gonna but a few cases when on sale

now i have to buy 2 types of oil that sucks

I am glad I found this out because I go in on the 27th for the first service. I need to make sure they use 0w40 not 10w30 Mobil 1 as odds are, the dealer will not be up on changes to products

I'd be standing right next to the grease monkey making sure they use the right oil!

Yep and I can tell you that no dealer has 0w40 in bulk so I better see bottles opening up. Hey, i will even ask them for the bottles so I can keep better record of what went into the engine
