Hmm well I know 150-200 of the 3000 are coming to Canada, I imagine 100 or so are heading to Mexico. So the question is, where's the other 900 going, Europe?

Though the thought of a srt-10 ram cruising down the autoban is sweet. :D

I think it's 1800 out of the 3000 that were promised and none are going to Europe. Anyone know how Canadian trucks differ from US trucks?
canadian cars have a 5mph bumper, gauages are in KM
USA cars havea 2.5 mph Bumper, you know what the gauges are in

Joe,
There were 13 Ram SRT-10's on Ebay last night. 2 of them had 'notices" that the reserve had been lowered. There are several that don't have any bids on them at all.
It looks like several silver ones can't draw an opening bid. Wow, some of the opening bids are in excess of 50K. I think that once some of the dealers have a glut of "limited edition vehicles" sitting on their showroom that most consumers can't afford, we'll see the prices come back to reality. We saw the same thing with Indy Rams in 1996. Who knows, maybe once the VCA Ram's are built and delivered, some of us who have had trucks ordered for over 3 months will start to see some activity on our orders. I'm going to stand behind my dealer (Tator's Dodge) and wait until we know for sure.
If we see VCA Rams start to hit the secondary market, watch out.

I got to the point that I couldn't stand hearing "no new status" from my dealer so I took matters into my own hands. I live in VA. I did an online search of dealer inventories for all dealers in VA and MD and found six in inventory (on the lot) near me. I called each to confirm they were still there and to confirm the price (make sure there wasn't a hidden mark-up). Bought mine the very next day, the color I wanted, and I paid MSRP . . . period. DC doesn't appear to be too concerned about honoring our pre-orders; no need for me, or us, to be loyal to a dealership. If you want help finding one near you for MSRP, let me know. ;)

DC and pre-orders

Are you sure it is the fault of DC? Many dealers do not even have allocation to get one -- just because the dealer "orders" one from you doesn't mean they ever had a chance of getting one. If you never left BG status then your dealer may never have had one to sell you. Just a thought.

Sugarland Express has it correct, as the basis for orders has to do with allocation. A Dealer that sells mainly cars, very few trucks, and no Vipers , will have a nearly impossible time getting a SRT-10 Ram. On the other hand , a Dealer that gets alot of trucks, and alot of Vipers will probably get a reasonable number. This issue of 1800 in the US is 99% just a rumor, as the only other place the trucks can go is Canada. In the past only 75-100 Vipers have gone to Canada, so the 100-150 SRT-10 Rams has alot of plausibility. The trucks are going for ridiculous figures all over the country, but we do not charge over sticker either. To put things into perspective, we have sold 4, have two more coming in this week ( tentatively ), and we sell a ton of trucks.

PS - Info for the Dealer in Alabama. Check your status on your Mamba, because if it isn't in D status, it will not be built. The build out scheduling is done, and all orders not in D status have gone to BE or cancelled. Hope this helps you out.

Srt-10 And Mamba Viper

Woodland .. I'm The Inventory Manager Of The Dealership And My Viper Is In ( I ) Status .. My D.m. Promised Me The Allocation For This Truck But Has Not Come Through.. As For The 1800 Number Came From The District Sales Manager For The Southeast Business Center And Is The Guy Who Ordered All 50 Vca Srt-10 Ram's.. The Von Number's For Those Truck's Will Begin With ( Wes ) He Is A 20 Year Employee Of Dcx And I Think He Would Be Close On Those Numbers.. Where The Other Truck's Are Going .. Who Know's .
I Will Get My Guy's Truck One Way Or The Other If I Have To Call Detriot ( The Truck's Are On Allocation But The Business Center Get's Unit's From Time To Time And Can Place Them Where They Want Them )
Thank's
