ALL I can say iw WOW

actually that is what almost everyone that sees it says

As a former Ram sst, dakota r/t, and ford lightning driver
I have to say dodge hit the nail on the head with this truck

Now granted Ford did do a few things better especially the service issues-- IE all SVT owners get cars if theirs goes in for service

but all in all Dodge made this thing awesome

plus since I ordered it my name is on the sticker kinda cool

Congrats. Got any plans for it? Looks like you already know something about fast trucks. I like most about this truck that they took a top of the line 1/2 ton and then made it look/run good. Even Vipers don't have cruise control, steering wheel radio controls, dual zone climate control, a sub, etc.

Now enjoy!

after a few months of driving nice it will be time to add to an already great truck

im looking for tonneau cover 1st

then Im thinking of doing the air induction kit and a exhaust system

Exhaust

Rolex DR I am getting a Magnaflow catback in two weeks If you want one,I
can get them wholesale. They are makeing 12-14 HP and 18-20 lbs
tq. at the rear wheels. Magnaflow has the best quality and are
100% stainless. I heard them on there SRT 10 and they had a very
good mellow sound, not an ear ache. Mofo

About a new exhaust System. The srt-10 has dual in and dual out, so whomever does the work on your truck, make sure they do not use a "Y" to connect to your performance muffler. The cut out in the fender is for your duals to be put together, unless your going to modify your rear bumper, the exhaust mounting will have to be the same. I personally don't lick the "BIG" muffler Dodge uses, but any performance muffler should add HP, since its true dual exhaust.

Congrats on the truck, you definately have to do something with the exaust system, it is as quite as my wifes buick. What I did was cheap and fast. I took it down to the muffler shop told them to take the muffler off and replace it with stainless pipes from the second cat back. It now sounds AWSOME it is still quite when cruising down the E way. But it is VERY raspy when you let the gears slow down the truck, it crackles and pops like mad, but it still sounds great. Any how, if you want to hear mine I only live on 23mi & I-94 so its about 15 minutes away from sterling heights.

Jamie,
Congrats on the new truck. It's great to drive every day and the extra tire sidewall height makes it a pleasure to drive and your back doesn't hurt after 250 miles. I just put a new Snugtop SL on mine with the remote control for opening it and it has a rotary slam latch to close it. No key needed. I filed down the key to use in an emergency so it would work with my SRT spoiler mounted on the bed cover lid. You might give Leo at Ideal Accessories (Tampa, FL) a call if you have any questions (888) 711-6655). Their website is www.idealauto.com. This tonneau received the Daimler-Chrysler award at SEMA. It opens like a hood.
Enjoy your new truck,
Mark

Jimieg79,

You can also cut off the second set of cats (post cats) for a little more flow. All that popping is raw unburned fuel lighting off.... it sounds good but the computer holds the air fuel ratio at 10:1 from 4000 rpm and above and then when you let off it goes lean temporarily. I was able to tune the popping out with a VEC2.

So I'm assuming the SRT has 2 "sets" of cats? Kinda like the Lightning? I know that the Viper has such a raspy sound that it's almost blood curdling...it's very sexy actually.
