Hey Guys,

Ive been having a bearing noise, either from the powerstearing or Ac comp pulley. It had started making noise only when it was cold and would go away when it warmed up (engine Temp), but now I can hear it when I rev up the rpms above 3 g. I t,s definitely not the belt slipping.

Anyone else experience this??

I'll be taking it in monday to have it checked.

I do have a cold startup noise once in awhile. But revving the engine had no effect and it would only last a few seconds. It kinda sounded like a jet engine winding up. There is an old thread that talks about it, a lot of guys had a similar noise. I was going to pull off the belt and try it but I never got around to it and now my truck is already in storage for the winter. Let us know if the dealer finds anything.

Noise

Well I finall got the dealership to admitt there was a squeaking noise comming from my tensioner pulley. They replaced it and thru in a new belt under warranty and shes quiet as a mouse, till you step on her that is!!!

I had also realized that the safety clutch switch in my truck wasn't working. Could fire her up without pushing in the clutch. That could have been disasterous. Anyway they replaced that too. So all is back to normal!!
