Can't seem to get the "MODE" button to STOP @ the CD. Keeps going from AM to FM only, as if it didn't have a six/cd changer. Is there a fuse or something that I'm missing??

You just supercharged your stereo!!!!! Didnt they warn you about that??? Only the engine man!!!! LOL

QUICKSILVER, ON MY FIRST RAMSRT-10 RADIO DID THE SAME THING HAD TO TAKE TO DEALER AND THEY REPLACED THE WHOLE THING, IT WAS ALSO KILLING MY BATTERY AND MAKING HORN BLOW IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, dealer fixed it with no question, they had to send off my radio and mail me my cd's back to me cause i couldn't even get those out

im bringing my truck in on monday to have my radio (hopefully) replaced under warranty. sometimes my radio works sometimes it doesnt. when it does, i get a message saying to insert nav disk, i do that, then i get a message saying radio is updating. takes 5 minutes than works fine. then after like 3 days it stops working again. very frustrating. any tips on how to get dealership to replace rite away??? because i am sure the radio will work fine when i bring it in.

Is this problem isolated to the navigational units? I do not have the GPS, and I have had no problems. I probably just jinx myself...........

Should be under the 3yr/36k bumper to bumper or the 12month/12k warranty. I might be wrong though. Had mine replaced with no problems.

heading out to dealership tomorrow am. thankfully radio is still screwed up, i was worrying that it would correct itself and the service dep would tell me i was an idiot and nothing was wrong. taking a day off of work for this, it better get replaced!!

alrite im fed up with dealerships. i took the day off work to bring her in and get radio fixed. they have it for an HOUR and then call me and say you are all set!! i said really? she said yep, we took it out and sent it to get "fixed". may take a couple of weeks. i laughed and said thanx. she said you are gonna have to come back in, well call you. LOL i am now staring at a black hole, listening to myself hum while getting lost.

so now, out of SPITE i would like to replace my radio by myself. has anyone upgraded their radio to something besides an rb1 or rb4? i went to crutchfield and they say nothing fits. so i guess i am stuck with going for the rb1. ALSO, can i install this myself? i think i just have to hook up the rear pins and i am all set.

any advice is much appreciated.

That is absolutely f'n unreal. I would have thrown a unholy fit in there if they tried that horse$hit on me. They need to swap out another radio. Period. It is soooo hard to find good Dodge service shops....errrr

Well let me tell you what happen to me @ the "Stealership"
NOTHING everything went as smooth as silk In about 2min you couldn't see my Truck there were so many people! Open the hood and the rest is history After about 10min Alex came up to me and had one of those car mats incase you have dirty feet. He put the mat in for me! He said why don't you pull it up over there half way into the stall. The tech already had the dash pulled up on the computer. He said it looks like about 20min it took less than 15min. Said they would mail me my CD's There parting words were "Hope to see you again"

My cd player died and they did not take it out and leave me with a gaping hole, they said they would order a new one then switch em out.....and of course mail back the cd's!!!! Thank God, cause the radio still works and I would be pissed looking at a giant hole in my dash!!
