With all of the confusion about our warranties I called DC at 1-800-992-1997, customer assistance hotline. I provided the vin# and they looked up the factory warranty for the vehicle. I was told (like I already knew) the Ram SRT-10 and Viper SRT-10 has a 3yr/36K warranty from the factory. Not 7yr/70K like the rest of the product line has. Those of you thinking you have a 7yr/70K warranty are incorrect unless the dealer is going to honor something like that. I know some of you could care less about the warranty because you're modifying them anyway. I'm sorry to be the bearer of this bad news for the rest but it's frustrating how some of the dealers just tell you anything to make a sale. By the way, I did buy an extended warranty at a cost to me. I hope this clears things up. Droopy

I bought the extended one too. For the reasonable amount it cost, if my ac goes out it will pay for itself....being on Maui, I use the ac everytime I drive it. Peace of mind means a lot to me when I just spent $44k. Just my 2 cents..

SRT Warranty simplified......

The Factory Warranty Coverage on the SRT vehicles has been confusing - some have 7/70, others do not.

The easy answer is ALL SRT-10 Rams have 3/36 only - NO 7/70. The SRT-10 Ram was the first SRT vehicle to reflect the change in Warranty Coverage.

The reason for the confusion is that prior SRT vehicles, including the '04 Vipers and SRT-4s, did have 7/70.

For '05 and beyond, ALL SRTs will have 3/36 only - even the Crossfire SRT-6, Chrysler 300 SRT-8, Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8, etc.

Concerning the purchase of a Service Contract - Great idea, but you may want to verify that it's Factory Backed. If it doesn't say DaimlerChrysler Service Contracts on your Plan Provisions, it's not a Factory Contract.

Have a great week.

I purchased mine used with 2600 miles. I transferred the service contract over to my name and low and behold shes under a factory 7/75 bumper to bumper with $100 deductible. Thought I hit the lottery!
