Just came back from the dealer, have two problems. First weather striping terring due to front edge of door digging into it, new weather striping now available. Second and more severe problem, transmission leaking out of tail shaft, back for the fourth time and finnaly a parts bulletin not a service bulletin for some transmissions, serial number has to be checked, the following parts have to be changed, harmonic balancer, tail shaft housing, certain bolts and lock washers and a transmission balancer has to be added. of course not all parts are available immediately. Will keep you apprised of the situation

just noticed

I noticed about a week ago that a small amount of fluid was leaking onto the new garage floor. I figured it was the transmission from the pattern. I have tried to call two dealers in the area for an appointment, several times. I ask for the service department and the phone just rings for a bit then a phone operator says they are busy do I want to leave a message. Yeah, my message is give me service. The two dealers that I am trying to get service from are in the San Diego area.

My SRT is in the shop right now and they tell me Chrysler says they are to replace the Transmission extension housing along with a new seal, it was leaking transmission fluid and spraying it on the exhaust and tailgate. Let me tell you it smells terrible, burning on the exhaust

I wonder if this is partially responsible for the "clutch" smell that's reported from time to time.

How do you drive your truck, Bryan1? How many miles?

Thanks,
Steve
