Picked up my new Black QC on Saturday afternoon. WHAT A BLAST!!! :D :D

I don't know if its just my truck or if the other QC owners feel the same way, but the tranny shifts out of first so fast from a standing start. The only way it will stay there is if you really keep your foot way down on the gas.

Under reasonable acceleration it shifts into second gear so quickly that it feels like I'm lugging the engine in low RPM's.

Does anyone know if the shift range can be changed?

I did a chip upgrade to my BMW 750il last year and the company also did some mods on the shift ranges for the automatic transmission. There was actually a second chip just for the transmission. Is there a separate one on the SRT-10?

I've driven the diesel Ram and it did the same thing. I would have thought that DC would have changed the shift program for the V10. My dealer just got a QC and they said to come by and drive it . I will let you know. :)

Mine does the same thing. When turning a corner from a stop sign it is impossible to keep it in first - if you give it enough throttle to stay in first the rear end breaks loose and starts to come around. I occasionally put the selector in 1 to avoid the upshift and subsequent downshift when taking a corner from a stop. You must then shift to D shortly after full throttle to avoid redline cut-out. All in all a crappy work-around. If anyone knows of how we can change this I"d love to hear about it.

Thanks.

Remember....Showing up for a test drive in a flame retardant suit and helmet tends to make them revoke the invitation :p

Try driving in tow/haul mode it should hold the gear a little longer especially @ low rpm's (when you dont want the truck lugging 2nd with a heavy load or trailer in tow) then just turn the button back off when you want to [email protected] higher speeds

Well, addme to the list too/I'm in third gear before I get through the intersection. It would definately be nice to raise the shift point a little!
