Hello Group, Any one have a close up picture of the area where the spoiler goes with the spoiler removed. I bought my truck and it already had a hard tonneau cover installed. I have enclosed a pic. I'm wanting to take it off. According to the directions on how to reinstall the spoiler to the back of the truck it seems that I am supposed to have a bolt already there on the back and you install a bolt in the front. Any help would be greatly appricated Thanks

Hello Group, I took the spoiler off the tonneau cover and they had left the stock shoulder bolts in the spoiler, so I found out what I needed to know. Does the spoiler come with rubber on the bottom of it? If so what purpose does it serve other then keeping the paint. I don't ever plan on driving with out the spoiler on
Spoiler

I think it's just to keep the spoiler from gouging the paint on the bed & to make a snug fit. ML

The bottom of the spoiler does have a little rubberlike deal on it. If you still have the conelike shaped bolts still attached to the bed your doing real good. You will also need two bolts that come up from the bottom of the bedrail into the bottom of the spoiler which holds the spoiler down tight. The cone shaped bolts on the top of the bedrail need to have the groove going north to south....that groove which looks like a flathead screw is where part of spoiler slides through....it wont fit if the grooves are not front to back.

Hope that helps.

I thought the slot that looked like a screwdriver slot was just that. I didn't notice which way they were pointing however the spoiler is secure
I found out the hard way, trying to put it back on after I installed a soft tonneau. Trying to get those slots to line up was a *****!!!! So you it got it back on?

patrick
yes it was no problem
