The SRT-10 I saw that was dirty was bought in Texas and was being driven back here by the owner. It looked like a lot of salt was on the truck from the snow and stuff, so that could explain that.
But these guys who have the SRT-10's could give us a under the hood pic of the scoop, it is open with a little rubber flap basically, nothing to stop the water from what I saw...
The SRT-10's are not "Functional" as ram air, just as an air inlet only.
Should I mention why I saw the dirty SRT-10 at the dealership ???
It had 1700 miles on it and it had a blown motor
I was not going to mention here, and freak anybody out.
But maybe they deserve to know,
while he was driving it back from Texas it spun a cam bearing
{ thats what they thought it was last time I saw it anyways }
DC gave the owner two options, rebuild and repair of the original engine to keep the numbers matching...or...
replace with a new engine.
The owner chose a new engine and DC was flying one in the day I was there.
The dealership has replaced the engine last I heard, after about a week or so.
No more info other than that.
