SRT 10 vs Lightning

I have both a 03' Lightning and a new SRT 10 Pure stock the SRT is a little faster,however with $850.00 spent on the Lightning, it will soundly beat the SRT. Mofo

put them on equal tires, then put equal $ into the srt, and you will say different. pluss, people are going to have learn to drive stick shifts. it is an acquired talent, not as easy as just smashing the gas. if and when furd puts a 6 speed into the new Lol, you will see a huge change in dragracing.
perrili tires suck, i have had them on cars & i have roadraced on them & honestly i think they are some of the worst tires going. i was bummed when i found out our trucks were coming std with puke-relli's on them.

Well I would disagree with you about putting in similar amounts of money between the two and having the SRT-10 still come out on top. Just due to the fact that a pulley for the L makes a huge difference in performance. but if we were to use the amount of money that MOFO used at eight and some change that means the L would get pulley, nitrous, and maybe some better rubber. The SRT-10 doesn't have the advantage that the Lightning has with its blower and becing an easy way to get some hp so I would tend to think the SRT-10 would be at a disadvantage due to the fact that its N/A. But I don't claim to be a know it all with the SRT-10's so there could be some nice cheap stuff that makes a huge difference. But I didn't know that the SRT-10 came with ****ty Pirelli's. We sold them at Tires Plus when i worked there back in the day and we couldn't give the things away. But I agree with you about them being ****ty tires. Why didn't the SRT-10 get some BF Goodrich's like the SRT-4 has *atleast i think thats what they come with stock*

SRT-10 would cost 4-6 Times the amount of $$ in mods to catch your basic bolt on Lightning. This isnt even covering 11 and 10 second trucks currently running around socal.

Bolt on some sticky rubber to a SRT-10 and watch the transmission. SRT-10's just arent designed to be beat up on at the track, let alone the street. There's more reported issues with those trucks than its even worth mentioning.

If you were smart, you would keep the Lightning...

The Dodge is a decent truck, but certainly not for the money. It was over hyped and now everytime i find one on the street, they are always trying to get the hell away from me by making right or left turns.

Sweet, both red must look awsome sitting next to each other.
SUCKS that one has to go. either way you are left with an awsome piece of performance.
