Not sure if anyone has put the Magnaflow on a QC yet but we just did. It bolts right on, sounds nice and seems quicker on the butt dyno. We will have some real dyno numbers hopefully in the next week or so once our dyno is in the ground.

Is this the same unit as the RC?

Does the Magnaflow kit eliminate the resonator on the QC ? That's the muffler that has been recommended to me!

The Magnaflow system goes straight on to the QC. It eliminates the factory muffler. There are no resonators (smaller mufflers).

No. The SRT QC auto turns more rpm than the manual cruising down the highway. So I didnt want it to get too loud by removing cats.

Real soon I am gonna add a pair of really quiet mufflers to the exhaust. Its amazing how much turbos do to quiet down exhaust resonance.

At the risk of sounding stupid,I have to ask ifthere is no resonator on the QC,then am I correct in assuming that there are(from front to back) 2 cat converters,1 dual in/out muffler and 1 dual in/out ? I just bought this,so I have a lot to learn!!

J/W, if i were to remove the secondary cats, how much power could i expect to gain? Also, this is for a quad cab with the automatic transmission, so would the interior noise become unbearable?

I have helped put a set on the RC and they seemed easy. I don’t know how much different the RC and the QC are under the hood.

You might get 5-10 hp max and you would get a lot more noise. The 05 with the 4.56 and auto trans. turns about 1000 rpm more than the 04 6speed at 80 mph - 1800 rpm vs 2800 rpm.
