Is this the same unit as the RC?John Hennessey said:Not sure if anyone has put the Magnaflow on a QC yet but we just did. It bolts right on, sounds nice and seems quicker on the butt dyno. We will have some real dyno numbers hopefully in the next week or so once our dyno is in the ground.
The Magnaflow system goes straight on to the QC. It eliminates the factory muffler. There are no resonators (smaller mufflers).6pakattack said:Does the Magnaflow kit eliminate the resonator on the QC ? That's the muffler that has been recommended to me!
No. The SRT QC auto turns more rpm than the manual cruising down the highway. So I didnt want it to get too loud by removing cats.SRTEJ said:John, did you eliminate the second cat?
You are correct sir.6pakattack said:At the risk of sounding stupid,I have to ask ifthere is no resonator on the QC,then am I correct in assuming that there are(from front to back) 2 cat converters,1 dual in/out muffler and 1 dual in/out ? I just bought this,so I have a lot to learn!!
You might get 5-10 hp max and you would get a lot more noise. The 05 with the 4.56 and auto trans. turns about 1000 rpm more than the 04 6speed at 80 mph - 1800 rpm vs 2800 rpm.SRT QC said:J/W, if i were to remove the secondary cats, how much power could i expect to gain? Also, this is for a quad cab with the automatic transmission, so would the interior noise become unbearable?
