Didnt know it was that hard to drive an auto.
ROFL, the srt-10 scared the Lightning so bad he did a 180. Seriously though, wth was that, you gotta be one really bad driver to do that at the track. The guy didn't want to go down to an srt-10 so he kept on the gas and wiped. :)
lol.....holy ****! How the hell could that happen!? But that guy is probably one of those guys who has a lot of money and modded his L up and sucks at driving and proves so right there with not being able to go in a straight line. But either way that does suck real bad! Any idea as to what the SRT-10 ran on that run?
Proves my old point, Just because you can afford it, don't mean you can drive it!!!
Some people shouldn't be allowed to drive, just glad they went to the wall instead of into the SRT10 Ram

Try a woman driver in a moded L that had no business driving it. It shows the lack of driving experience not knowing what to do in this case!

It seems that an idiot driver in an L is the only hope for you guys. :p

That black srt-10 ran a best of 13.8 at 96 mph that night.

There was another red srt-10 there as well.

Most passes were in the 14 sec range, a couple 15's from them too.

and when the SRT 10 has a crappy driver like the FIRST video that we saw, you can use that, but we cant?

GOOD POINT. these furd guys all have lost site of what the srt10 is all about.
remember 302boss mustangs, ls6 chevelles, and hemi cudas. they were raw muscle, a 1hp per cubic inch, all bad ass and naturally aspirated. i can get a pinto to run good with a huffer. what the srt10 does is personify the american idea of a hotrod. brute power ala natural. they people knocking the srt10 are starting to babble on & on but the fact is, the srt is new, very very few are out there, no one has been aqainted with a stick & horspower since the 60's & until srt's can line up against an L in a fair, equal drivers on equal tires, ALL OF YOU SRT NAYSAYERS SHOULD SHUT THE **** UP. especialey when all of the L know it alls have never even drove the srt10. i have drove an L. very cool & fast. i like the srt for what is a bad ass vehicle that makes 1 hp per cubic inch all on its own ability.
Look out. Here comes the excuse train! WOO! WOO!

What is the SRT all about?? It was built to compete with the Lightning!! That's what it's about. Your misconseption that the SRT RAMS are in the same class as the muscle cars are delusional at best.

All the cars in that era were V8's getting that hp. Made by American owned car companys at the time. You are driving a V10 sport truck owned by a german company, and if not for the Lightning there wouldn't be a SRT10 truck. N/A or not... (Put that in your pipe and smoke it!!)

The mods the L had was an easy 12's truck. The SRT was lucky the L crashed after the SRT running a 13.8....Where are the 12's fellas? You'll be in summer conditions and won't have the good air to help that N/A engine. SRT's have been out long enough to get used to. These trucks are rumored to be high 12's stock. Can't someone back up that mag's 13.1 1/4 mile? Or am I going to continue to go believing PVO gave the mag a ringer?

You guys crack me up...I've never driven a SRT and don't care too. It's a nice truck. Driving one isn't going to change my mind that it's worth the $45K+. No way, No how! This whole driver being equal crap and same tires...Blah, blah, blah. The problem the SRT RAM has is it has a weight issue and a traction issue.

One thing it tops the L in, is Burn-outs. Run what ya brung when you go to the track. Know one is making excuses. The L lined up and crashed. The win goes to the SRT. That simple...

Hey Thor,
It's been more than a couple of weeks since Ford was going to try that top speed thing again with a truck. How did that go? Not well I'm guessing.

Everyone else,
Get used to seeing lightnings do that. If (and I doubt it) the new L's come out with the 50 hp cold water gizmo, lot's of them will be sitting in the staging lanes with their AC on and will dump water on the track when they launch. Should make for a nice hard right when one wheel breaks loose. Definately don't want to follow or run next to one.

Are you saying lightning owners can't drive?

NEWSFLASH:

the large majority of SRT-10 owners can't drive either.
NEWSFLASH:

You are just here to start ****. My next sentence explained the first one.

Consider taking a different path from here on.

Steve
not making excuses.

From what I've read, there was a woman driving (not that they can't drive but...) and they announced just prior to that run (while the Lightning was doing a burnout) that fast cars should stick to the left lane.

The Lightning Lost!
The SRT Won!

However, the Lightning didn't get to cross the finish line.

If you look at the video and turn up the volume you can hear the supercharger QUICKLY wind up, (like the back tires were spinning) and you can see the rear end start to fishtail at the same time. She should have let off and counter steered, but didn't and kept it floored.

Bad thing is that since it occurred at the track, the Insurance WILL NOT cover the damage to the Lightning.

Live and Learn.

Lightning 3
SRT-10 1
(much much more to come)

9seconds,

I haven't heard any additional information. One SVT guy told me, why have a 06 L take the title away from the 04 L. You get more recognition with the new 06 L taking it away from a Viper equiped truck! Maybe Ford changed their strategy?

There have been a few owners that have ran over the 150mph mark. The truck will do it.

I can say that the new 06 Lightning will not have the cooler installed. No need to worry about the water on the track....lol Where are those 12
s guys! Anyone running mid 13's with 600lbs in the bed too?

I think that's a good move. Leaves something for the regular guy to try to figure out.

Well from what I have read the L isn't coming with the Super cooler in stock form. I heard that it will be an option from Ford Racing's Catalog
