STILL On Hold

 My truck has been built for two weeks now, and it is still on hold. What possible reasons, besides some major quality problem could there be for it to be on hold now for two weeks.

I hope they don't do what they did to my dads 03 Viper. When he picked it up directly from the plant (Not Dealership), it had a sticker on the dash that said it was chosen to be quality tested by driving under normal driving conditions. Any way it had over 30 miles on the odometer before he even sat in the car. After only 500 miles the car was leaking oil. So I highly doubt they were easy on it.

I will be realy disapointed if they do the same thing with my truck.

How long ago did you order the truck? How old are you by the way?
I've heard they are having problems with the heads staying torqued down to the block. That could be what is holding yours up.
Yours must be a special case. They are still being produced at a 25/day rate as of this morning.

You mean they build 25 trucks a day?

Not sure what you're asking. They build 25 SRT-10 Rams per day. I heard that this morning. One guy estimated there have been ~600 released. He had just come from Saltillo this morning.
Most Encouraging Information

9Seconds...that is the MOST encouraging information that has been posted on this site for days, if not weeks. Thanks....

I had just about given up on my order, which was placed in early Oct., my dealer continues to tell me...."IT WILL BE BUILT" but still no date. DC wasn't answering their phone line(s) all last week. I was about to run out and purchase one of those ugly foreign trucks I see on TV .... EVERYNIGHT!

Not.

But, with this information of the quantity being built per day, and 600 vehicles having been built to date, it makes me feel as if there MAY be a chance my truck will be delivered.

Your input is GREATLY appreciated.

P.S...you other guys stop holding up the production line with the purchase of all those SRT hoods.....LOL

I have to end up ordering the SRT-10 I have been searching for over 2 months and either they don't have the Truck in stock or they're charging 10-30 thousand dollar mark up. I just have to hope that I get the truck by this summer.

They're in indiana though. Thanks anyways :D
Asked today and was told that there were no across the board delays for anything. Without knowing any specifics, it was offered that a possible cause for delay could be related to drive shaft balancing. Every SRT Ram has the driveshaft balanced @150 mph. Accelerometers are placed on the trans and rear end. Similar to tire balancing. Notice the two hose clamps on the transmission yoke (when you get it). I'm not saying there could be a balancing problem. They are done in batches, not as each is built.

Best of luck,
Steve

i don think the problem is production but shipping. my truck was built first but sat on the ground in mexico for over 2 weeks,-then 2 others built after it were loaded & shipped. my went on to a rail car a week after the others did. it sounds like a clusterf##K when it comes to shipping.
I gave my dealer a deposit last year after the detroit auto show, and told him to place the order as soon as he was able to. The order was then placed the first day that DC started taking orders for the truck. That was some time early October. Any way I am 24 years old and can't wait to get behind the wheel of that bad boy, it will be so much fun blowing the doors off these little rice burners we have around here, along with giving the real sports cars a run for their money.
I was able to confirm that allocation of the SRT-10 Ram was based on sales of single cab Ram 1500's.
