I just bought a used Dodge Ram SRT (red) from a dealer. Previous owner had installed a different exhaust that makes the truck sound more like a rice burner than a American-made muscle car. I'm going to get the dealer to take it back to stock. The service guy was trying to talk me out of it by telling me that I wouldn't get the true dual exhaust performance by going stock. I'm thinking aren't these trucks stock with dual exhaust?
I'd like to wait until Corsa comes out with their exhaust for these trucks (they say within two months).

Would find it hard to believe you could make 505 ci V10 engine sound "ricer-ish" . When you replace the exhaust, let us know who manufactured it.

Another vote here for Magnaflow. Although they sound much better with the CAI and headers

The stocker sounded more like a UPS truck than a hot rod!!!! Shifter included in that statement!!!

Magnaflow is the bomb but I am sure Billy Boat, and Borla are nice too!!!

Rice is not allowed in my truck!!!!

Last Saturday when I got the truck the ehaust was coming out the side (made to look like a lightning). It was so loud you couldn't even listen to the radio. I told the dealer I'd buy the truck if they took it back to stock. I figured I'd upgrade the exhaust myself. So I drop the truck off on Thursday and the service guy sends it out to an "exhaust specialist" who just took it out the back.
It still sounds like crap and that's where the discussion started about "aren't these trucks stock with dual exhaust"?

Do yourself a real big favour and get a hold of Tom (WORMSTERR ), i bought a magnaflow catback system from him and aside from being cheap as chips , it is the s..t and sounds unbelieveable. In fact i love it so much that i think Tom is going to be getting a call from me soon about the belanger headers and midpipe system as i need MORE !!!!!!!

Rick, yes, the original was kind of like duals, 2 cats into 1 muffler with 2 exits. Pretty nice exhaust for factory stuff, but sounds lame. ML
