Supercharged Yellow Fever Edition.

We you guys are always a good sounding board, and we have a Paxton Supercharger coming in, (one of the first for trucks ) and us wackos in the Performance Dept. are thinking of just slapping it on one of the Yellow Fever SRT-10s. We can just put the system in parts, or we can install. Wondering what your views are:

1. Install and have it ready to sell by the end of this week.
2. Just put in parts, as we don't know who is looking for one.

Installed is an Awesome Idea, I'm sure it would sell fast. Assuming you fully back the warranty.
Yeah, are you prepared to warranty the clutch? Repeatedly? :D
If you put it on and stock the vehicle you will truely have a one of a kind upscale offering.Probably get 10 K over for the SC and install too.

We you guys..............geez, writing too fast and not proofreading. That was supposed to read , Well you guys, etc., so guess I had better slow down. The system ,with 26 hour install ,and with the polished unit is about 10K higher, but the biggest advantage is there are virtually none available. We also do two dyno runs ( trailer it to Omaha ) to find out the power level - base run and final figure.
Well what are you waiting for? Do the install. The word will get around and that will bring more traffic to the dealership.
Well , we have the truck ( actually 2 trucks ), but the system won't be in until tommorrow or Wednesday. I am working to convince Upper Mgmt. to just wing it and let us install one right away. That still leaves us with one naturally aspirated for current sale. With the difficulty in getting units, Parts wants to just sell it, so I am testing the waters with all you Raminators.

Appreciate the input so far.

Just like a parts guy..."lets sell the parts" NO, NO, NO
You have to INSTALL. You will not believe the results. "I am a believer"
This is a daily driver for me, and is the most excitable experience I have all day. :D :D :D
Was sold one of the first (5) DC Performance install (Dan C.)

Bill. Go ahead and install it on my Yellow Fever RC you are sending me. But please mount the guages in the pillar, or run the lines there, I will fabricate a custom Fiberglass cluster for it on the pillar.

What was my # of the truck BTW :)

Craig
Quiksilver,

We and Dan are buddies and work together, and I know how well this system works, just gotta beat it into the Parts Dept. that we should just install. We have done the Paxtons on Vipers and it is a thing of beauty and reliability. The truck system is gorgeous too, with the polished look, but they seem to be producing mainly the unpolished ones. We are working to increase the demand for polished, as I think the system looks flat badazzz! Say hi to Dan, Tony and the guys, and I know you got a wonderful install - great guys at DC Performance.
Dyno Thurs.

He put the same unit in a SRT-10 Viper and got 644+rwhp. Truck is a little differant, won't make quite as much HP as the Viper...but the Viper is a sports car. Our engine has a little de-tune because of the weight of the Truck.
Bill,
I think Craig is serious. That unit is sold. Anyway, one of the dealerships here in Houston did OK selling Venom packages on new Vipers (No not under Chrysler warranty but with the HMS warranty). Financed and everything. I think there's a definite market for it.

Yup! :). And I want the infamous clutch upgrade too. Matter of fact, break it in so that I can just go WOT after its rolled off the back of the delivery truck ;) (ok that part I'm joking about).

Craig

Anyone hiring? I have knowledge sufficient to sequence paper and folders in an organized fashion so as to be able to readily find them later.
Well, we do need a parts truck, so I guess we can have Bubba, Jethro, and Maynard do some quickie runs around the Omaha Metro area delivering stuff. Heck , since it has a bedliner, we can just toss the stuff in the back with no problem. How broken in would you like it? We aim to please, ha.

Seriously, we will even trailer it down to the Dyno, so it will be your job to put on those easy first miles on the clutch and Supercharger.I know it will be a rough job, but I know you are up to the task, ha.
Do you think this is how Yenko got started???

Oh dear, now you are forcing me to be nice and break it in right. You know how HARD it is not to race someone when the pull up at the light, and you only have 110 miles on it? "Are you chicken McFly?, Well are ya?"

Hey Bill. Post my dyno sheet later tonight or in the morning :)

Proud owner of #171 Yellow Fever RC w/Supercharger

Can you send me a link or some information on that top secret special clutch/flywheel/monkey grease combination? :)

Craig
Dear Craig,

Dummy here, doesn't know how to post pictures --- heh, I am old and have an excuse. Could probably overnight them to you and concerning the double whammy overload pressed pringles waffle cone organic clutch thinga-ma-jig, I ain't telling my sources.
