What makes that so funny is I have always wanted to do that for years. Had a 56 Ford PU. Just had it out of the shop with a fresh make the body straight job and new Imrom Paint. 3 rd day after paint I come out of a store and BIG MOMMA is setting in her 1959 Nissan Sentra with her drivers door open into my pass side truck door. She has the Defftone radio on and bouncing up and down to the music. Her door is riding up and down about 2 inches. Big scratch to bare metal. I confronted her about it and her comment was what is the problem "it's only an old truck." I had to leave or I would have gone to jail. That is why I don't carry a gun.>>>>>>>>>>Jack

Just noticed your sig. Do you have any pics? What kinda mods did you do to the engine?

Just changed the sig today.

Those were the numbers from the bench dyno. It has just a port & polish, balance and blueprint with all new internals. I think Arrow just does a better job of putting these babies together with closer tolerances etc.

I'll be doing a chassis dyno before and after the K&N and I'll post what I come up with.

I'll finally have pics next week!

private parking in Paris

I was watching TURBO Magazine ( French tv) on TV this morning and there is a guy in Paris who lends private parking lot (about 30 dollars a year / car). Only good looking / expensive beasts. The parking is located 30meters under a building, you acces it trough a common parking gate a go down till you reach an armored door with a guard. Only car owners knows the location of this "car safe", the only person who can enter an pick up the car is the owner, wife and kids wait outside. ...... no scratches or kids running around. I would definitly pay this money to park the beast when i go in town !!!!!!

I am really curious to see what it does with the PCM program that is in your truck. Can't wait to see data..............Jack

My friends know that I always park in the lower forty to prevent door dings. A couple of times some of my friends thought it would be funny to park inches from my car. I didn't laugh. That happened to my nephew the same way except that his "ex-friend" let the door slip and dinged my nephew's brand new truck. He wanted to take the guy's head off.

Besides, I park, finish my shopping and am driving away in the time it takes the soccer moms and little old ladies to sit, block traffic and wait for the perfect parking place.

In 1972 that was the best there was if you wanted a catalysed enamel. Remember that I am old.
(I recall when detergent oil came on the market. Before that dyno squeezins created sludge in huge quantities. But that was all we had.)
Imrom was hard like laquer but a lot tougher. There are better things on the market today, but then Imron was state of the art. In that era I was trying to be a state of the art kinda guy. Today I just want to be in the same state where the art is. Just remember that Social Security will just barley make my truck payment and with the reverse mortgage there won't be anything for little katie and Megan.
With that said I think I will go out back an buy a bullet, rent a gun and kill myself. Thanks Wikd you are really being a help this morning........Jack

I had something similar happen to a friend of mine. don't remember the year of his Ford Bronco, (early 70's boxy, blue and whilte) but he just got done having it painted etc. We took our dates to a move theater..the parking slots were wider than normal, and yet some A-hole still parked very close to the Bronco. Needless to say, there were some scratches from the four door car on my friends Bronco. Naturally, my friend was pissed and he took his freshly painted driver side door and slammed it into the other vehicle a multitude of times! It was like he was temporarily insane...It was almost like he was a person who developed a steel plate in his head, temporarily...Anyway we took the Bronco back to the body shop...We asked if there was any kind of warranty on the body/paint job.
We laughed afterwards but at the time...It was almost kill time... :D
