Anybody have any ideas about this? I drive around and look at the Water Temp and Oil Temp gauges at 200+/- degrees in the Summer heat. Personally, I think a 180 degree stat would be good for year round driving, at least in my area. If I lived further South I'd be thinking about a 160 stat.

Anyone know w hat the Viper guys are doing in this area?

I had my mechanic friend in the hotrod for a ride the other day and he said the same thing. 200 seems a little high. He mentioned it might be for the emissions standards, so they pass em. He thought 180 was a better number as well. Me I dont know, I cant fix em too much, just buy and drive.

I would call Dan Cragin and ask him. Tell us what he says if you do!
