Has anyone changed the throttle body to something bigger? Is there bigger throttle bodies available, and if there is, would it be worth changing?

finally got mine!!!

well dont know how many r interested but i too just drove mine home today. a black beauty in all her glory. what an amazing peice of machinery. have so 2 read and learn and figure out. i know most of u on this site can appreciate how grate it feels after months of waiting,tracking, reading all of ur guys posts etc. didn't get over 70 mph,and barely got on it a few times,but everything in my body wanted to romp! all feedback on breaking in would be cool and hope all of u r well

RSI has a single butterfly throttle body. I don't know of any others. Some performance gains but might be more with engine mods. Too early to know.

Couple of company's are working on it. But nothing solid yet. BBK is one and Tony's buddy at Cherry Performance is another. If you can find a used X-Metal TB cheap, go for it. You get a little better throttle response and then there's the cool bling factor. But, only if you can find it cheap, under $150.

The single blades didn't work out well.
I installed an o.e.m. unit that was ported by a member on the other form. It provided 8-9 HP and much better throttle response.

BBK had one in the works that looked promising. They were going to release one for the automatics but I don't know if they ever did.

Unless Dodge starts putting automatics in Vipers, it is unlikely BBK are going to follow through with them now...:frown:

Yea, I emailed BBK abaout 6-8 weeks ago and was told it was going to be out soon, I think by Christmas. But most of us know they've been singing that song and dance for some time now...

I'm hoping to get one by March, that is when I send a lot of parts off to get powdercoated and want a new throttle body to be one of those parts...

but the single blades actually will loose hp, on most engines, with the exception of turbos.

and then you best be on your game to get hp out of them then. they are more for bling,

a ported oem tb or a dual blade is the best route. we have a company working on a ddual blade, but like ronald says, I dont think bbk is gonna go into production of a tb jsut to make 1000 tb's

Pretty much anything that "H" put on a truck is a POS...... The Single Blade TB really doesn't work well on our trucks and can cause HP LOSS.... Stick with the Twin Blade, you will be much happier...
